Georgiev was a good prospect at one point but has really fallen off. Is he an NHL goalie at this point?

Possibly.

But he’s having a really bad season. His numbers with the joke Sharks aren’t even much worse than his numbers with the much better Avalanche. Just a really bad season all around.

I’d look for him to be better next year, but he’s been pretty meh outside of that really good year two seasons ago in Colorado. Where at least one fan claimed the Rangers traded the wrong goaltender. Implying he was better than Shesterkin.

I’ll post last night’s later.

Fortunately, I posted Wednesday’s way earlier than normal, only because I couldn’t sleep and woke up in the middle of the night.

I was ready to backlog everything for as long as the site was down.

Thankfully I’m only one day behind.

Softy of the night is this Ryan Graves goal on Jordan Binnington



Thought it would be Draisaitl on Allen, but this one was horrible. Graves first goal of the year and in 73 games. And a really long shot from the blue line clean, not even one timed and a screen should not have been an excuse on this one.

This is only the second wraparound goal in the month of March and 14 days. Though there were 2-3 in the last week of February.

And the first wraparound goal of March was caused by a goalie giveaway by Alex Lyon and scored by Jordan Staal.

I’m getting a little tired of you giving Markstrom a pass after his return from injury. I mean he gave up four softies and you are over in the game thread begging Keefe to run him out there again tomorrow. Reassuring all of us his play shows his health and readiness. Enough already. It’s getting to be like Blackwood at the end. Your blind homerism is ridiculous.
