Softy of the night is this Jesper Boqvist goal on Robin Lehner

This definitely looked like the controller came unplugged on Lehner here, as was said in the GDT. This deserves softy of the night more for how unaware Lehner was on this than the actual shot beating him.

The Alec Regula goal on Jacob Markstrom was so f***in bad though.

Softy of the night is this Lucas Raymond goal on Andrei Vasilevskiy

This is nearing Kucherov on Gillies from a couple months ago territory. Looked like Kirk McLean was in net for this one.

I'm about 2.5 minutes through the sportsnet 'highlights' and that has to be a softy of the year candidate on Hamburgler.

Simply gross.
Gee I wonder if Hammond's blooper is the softy of the year, gotta be in top 3
I definitely have it top-5 at worst and it quite easily overtakes some of the really bad ones on Gillies and Blackwood for Devils softies of the year.

Hellebuyck got scored on from center ice (or maybe even the opposing blue line?) probably in the first month or two of this season and it was bad, but quite a bit more fluky. Same with the dump in goal off the glass and in behind Binnington from probably the first couple months of this season.

And there was Gudas on Kallgren just a few weeks ago that I remember was REALLY bad too.

I think Hammond's blunder last night is worse than any of those.

It's a three way tie for the stoppable goal Jennings Trophy.

Merzlikins, Vejmelka and Grubauer all have 52 right now. In the event of a tie, it goes to the one with a highest percentage of stoppable goals, which out of this bunch would be Grubauer as of right now.

The next highest after them is Hellebuyck with 48, who has a pretty lower (better than league average) than league average percentage of goals stoppable, but him being this high is a symptom of how many games he's played, how many shots he's faced and how many overall goals he's allowed.

Then it's Nedeljkovic with 47.

Merzlikins hardly ever sits since Korpisalo has been shut down which was close to 2 months ago. I think there's only been one game he hasn't started since then. So he's probably a favorite, but I haven't counted a goal stoppable on him in his last two games.

Softy of the night is this Gerry Mayhew goal on Jonathan Quick

This wasn’t too much better than the Okposo goal on Hammond the other night. This is quite easily a top-10 softy of the year. This just an absolutely brutal goal and extremely poorly played by Quick. This is just blooper reel bad.

Softy of the night is this Casey Cizikas goal on Ilya Samsonov

This was just embarrassing. Even after the giveaway. The Caps really need to end the Samsonov as a starter experiment.

Samsonov has really come out of nowhere to close in on Koskinen for the stoppable goal Vezina. That’s because they’ve started to play him so f***in much (which is stupid on their part), he’s gotten into 43 games this year. Every Devils goalies not named Bernier or Schmid have a higher percentage goals stoppable than Koskinen, but nobody has even played 30 games and wouldn’t qualify.

Well, as I said, Hammond would also be slightly lower if you take out his Habs games. His overall percentage this season is a little lower than Koskinen.

Samsonov is closing in and could take this if he plays one of these last couple games, but that’s assuming Koskinen does not and doesn’t allow any stoppable goals to keep his percentage ahead.

Merzlikins is now in the league lead for the stoppable goal Jennings with 55 with his two last night and the one on Vejmelka gives him 53.

Grubauer didn’t even dress last night, so I wonder if this is it for the season for him?

It's a real doozy tonight and Grubauer is in action and hasn't even allowed a goal yet. He didn't even dress last night, so not sure what that was all about. He must want that stoppable goal Jennings Trophy.

Early spoiler alert. As of this second 19 goals have been scored and 12 are stoppable.

The only real hard part is finding the softy of the night.

Sandstrom and Sateri are just horrific in the small sample size they've played this year, only it's not showing in Sandstrom's save percentage.
