Kuzmenko turned out to be a real dud, he’s struggling in Calgary.

Just as previously suspected, but I definitely feel for the guy. It wasn't for lack of try that's for sure. Say what you want about Bali, it's f***ing 2023 I say. You can definitely have a workable offseason routine in Bali, come on now.

I've been more or less 99.98% sober...or dry, rather since September 2019. The green goddess is as much a part of my family as a good argument. Got a nice little 5 month dry streak going. Haven't drink since the divorce. Yeah, I'm not bad. Been better. Been worse. I'd say I'm more or less at peace with *who* I am. I do use a f***ton of comedy to lighten things up, but life is kinda dark, no? Specially in winter. This is perhaps the most optimistic I've ever been in my life, I'm not a super positive person, I know I don't show it.

How are you, man? You doing alright?

Glad to hear it, truly! ✊

I'm doing great, thanks for asking, fighting my own nonsense but just wanted to ask how you were doing since you said a few things about your battle with staying sober.

Because he was one of the worst GMs of all time and was literally in charge of this team just three years ago?

So what! The guy was a joke. I'd like to punch every tooth out of his head. Do I need to read about him every f***ing thread? There are Pejorative Slured posters at Reddit, canucks.com and canucks corner that think he did a good job. Hopefully they didn't have kids. I hated Benning the player and I loathed him as a manger. Stop bringing him up. It's like a mouthful of puke.

^ You KNOW they had kids. You've been around too long, you can just say know. lol.

First in my immediate family, deteriorated because 18 months after marriage she wanted to open it up. Yeah, so my brain's basically been dividing by zero over and over because it literally is incapable of not.

Is that bad? We were trying to have kids before all that nonsense. I'm the luckiest man on the face of the f***ing planet.

Unless if you guys wanted it before marriage, then no.

Some people are not meant for marriage, some are. I know for me, I am not meant for marriage because I can't keep it as happy as it can be.

Totally, yeah. Like, some people enjoy a simple life and some people enjoy eating shit. What do you want, I love shit.

All I'm saying is let me sniff glue in the corner. I'm perfectly happy to do so, y'know?

Personally I won’t ever get tired of people clowning on him. I hope his legacy is to be a running joke for years to come.

The biggest what if of Quinn Hughes' career will likely be what if he wasn't drafted by Jim Benning. The name itself is self-evident. Like the thunder of the brown note before the shit storm rolls in.

What's left to say about Jim Benning that wasn't already said multiple times since he was hired? I think that was Hairy's point and I am sympathetic towards you both in a way, really. Just drop the name and enough said.

Ummm well he does do that but not really good at it

He will play 1200 games in this league. I guess you are far more cunning than the GM's and coaches since 2008., So many fans cheating the league of their knowledge about the game.

Mouth breathers.

Sounds like more of a you problem to get over, not something anyone else ought to abide by, to be honest. I'm personally all for it.

Wish I'd figured that part out a bit earlier. One good thing I needed to hear is that the world my folks prepared me for and the world we got ain't the same thing.

I learned long ago, sometimes life isn't the way you thought it would turn out to be.
I put up with a lot of shit and got the short end of the stick after, leaving me in ruins.

I had to re-group and figure out how to live my life again, to how I see fit, not someone else's.

Did you older gents start to really f***ing hit on your takes at like ~30? There's no way I'm just this lucky, historically, but I'm still a huge f***ing hole when it comes to knowing shit.

E: Not gloating, like 25% is still a lot f***ing more than 10 for instance.
i think if you thought about it you'd realize you're just picking your shots better. as you get older you realize which things would benefit from your commentary and which things won't.

Seider is part of the Red Wings future, he's the next great Detroit defensemen.
