Branstrom having his worst period by far despite a nice hit.

Myers looks horrendous. Silovs isn't even close to NHL quality currently. Needs to play as a starter in the minors all year and get his confidence back.

Juelson hits, which I like, but his read on the goal was terrible.

Lucky to be down 1 goal

They can just are not playing together at home just play simple and get pucks out

this only works if you're carolina and you only have players who can skate 50km in a period and still be first to every puck. vancouver's forward group is way too slow to generate enough offense off the forecheck

We need to split hronek and hughes. They need to stabilize another pair.

We can't. Do you really want to see Myers playing 20+ minutes a night?

While I have some confident Hronek could help stabilize Soucy, Myers may well bring down Hughes' ability because all he'll be doing is babysitting him. And I don't even want to imagine Desharnais next to Hughes.

So instead of trying anything else we just drown for 35minutes?

i don't think it's effort. they just have too many players on the roster that can't advance the puck
It’s a combination of things. We don’t have puck movers beyond Hughes. This system of Tocchet’s does not allow for transition offense. We are also in the bottom half percentile in skating speed for forwards.

I don’t think our complete inability to create shots in the 2nd half and playoffs last year was a fluke or “Tocchet coaching more defensively because of Demko”.

Replace Myers with an inanimate carbon rod and we’re set

1-0, but could easily be 5-0. Hawks up to 14 shots. I wonder if Tocchet can apologize to the fans after one period?
