pts was never an issue for him even before Rick

The amount of bozzo plays this season is concerning
He's been clearly injured and has shown plenty of moments reminding us of what he's capable of, like the tying goal in GM1, the 1-1 goal just last game.

There are plenty of guys who haven't even shown us this season what they're capable of and are truly concerning. Namely EP, Silovs, Soucy, and to a lesser extent DeBrusk.

Guentzel chose Tampa & DeBrusk was their #2. Probably #3 actually if you factor that they made a 7x7 or so offer to Lindholm or whatever it was - which would have been even worse.
Shouldn't be settling. Get your guy or don't. These are benning level moves that will haunt this team long after this management is gone.

How many damn pps have they had this game so far??

Jesus Christ, get a f***ing goal.
This is a problem, and was the same at the back half of last year. Tocchet runs the PP doesn't he? He needs to figure this out or find someone to figure it out for him. Shorthouse mentioned they have the least amount of shots per PP chances and that's not surprising. All they need is some Benny Hill music.

OK, I’m gonna be negative for a second.

Debrusk honestly looks worse every game, and if there’s no injury, what’s going on here?

He is not skating fast at all, what did he do in the offseason?

He’s not even hitting.
He always was a streaky 45 point winger despite getting ample opportunities with Bergeron, Marchand, Krecji and Pastrnak. He would also get benched and scratched at times.

This shouldn't be a surprise.

Just 10 games in, but the 'inconvenient truth' is that Canuck blueline isn't nearly good enough. And they can't play Hughes and Hronek 25-30 minutes a night. I suppose when you're forced every off-season to troll the UFA market for UFA d-men, sooner or later it's going to flop.

And if this is all they're going to get out of Debrusk, then the Canuck faithful should be more concerned about that contract, rather than Pettersson's.

We're seeing the effect of years passing with zero quality home grown defencemen for about 4 or 5 years now. Brannstrom was a lucky find, Willander should be solid, but otherwise we're severely lacking on quality 21-24 year olds on this team who can play above their contracts.

Every elite team in the NHL has gotten there by consistently finding two quality players every single draft outside of the first round and the Canucks haven't found shit. Want to know why Dallas and Winnipeg are so good?

Building a team in free agency is never the answer.

From the Bruins forum re: Zadorov so far:

"Dude is playing like a legit #3. Love him in our jersey."

"I actually think 5m is pretty cheap."

I can’t even be that critical of Miller because he’s been fine this season, just having a bad game shit happens.

There’s way more problems here
He’s obviously not the problem but I think it’s fair to be critical he's made some really terrible plays that didn’t really happen last season

Yogi runs the PP now, which looks worse than last year

Lankinen is keeping this team a float. Otherwise this team relies heavily on Demko. Our defense is atrocious. Soucy has taken a few steps back. Myers is back to chaotic. Other than Hughes and Hronek, the rest are a bunch of scrubs. No kidding Allvin is on the phones early, the D is a major weak point and most of us fans knew that from the start.

Look who he was playing with. He was always a risky signing. He is not a line driver, he is a complimentary finisher. He can't produce unless someone else does all of the work.
