Yes the BOG meetings are made up of owners, and that’s why get to sit in on the meetings, and not STHs.

Who would of guessed, the ones running the league would get an update on the teams status before fans do.

I want to find out as much as the next guy, but I don’t expect to know , before the league does.

But do you think it’s just normal for owners of the teams to want to know what’s going on in Ottawa, but the fans would also want to know what’s going on in Ottawa.

If the information is there why not share it with the fans?

Of course fans WANT to know, but that’s not how it works.

This is Ottawa, It works the way the organization wants it to work as we were told for the entire Melnyck ownership, if their Dad could say whatever stupid thing he wanted why can’t the kids?

The board of governors will get an update by Bettman on the Sens ownership and future, but the fans don’t.

This is why Ottawa is a joke franchise - they don’t embrace their fans. The owner of Arizona knows more then a Season ticket holder.

so if you want to know ( whatever it is that you think you should know ) when the Owner of Arizona knows, I suggest you become an NHL franchise owner, and attend the BOG meeting…..

Or, you can just wait, and find out when the rest of us find out, whatever it is that you seem to think is being held in secret by the Senators ownership, or management.

Fans are usually the last to know about any internal decisions made by pro sports franchises…. It is not like the Senators operate differently than any other pro sports franchise do.

Because the dad was a terrible, meddling owner, the Sens are trying to clean up that and are doing a fine job thus far.

We actually don’t know that, we just assume that. For all we know they could not care a damn about the Sens and just want as much money as possible out of the team

AGM quit today and Mcquire was fired, the players are lecturing the GM, can’t really say things are going well. If Brady getting drunk at Flames games is our gauge then things are going great

And that would be achieved through selling the franchise, which is happening, either all or a majority stake.

so a lot of fans trashed Melnyk for saying whatever he wanted, and to whom he was granting and interview to, and pretty much anything he did, a lot fans just complained because that’s what they do.
And now that his Daughter don’t do the same thing, they get trashed by the same fans who complained and whined about their father did?

so it’s a no win situation with this small minority of the fan base, and why would anyone think, catering to sliver of the fan base is high, if at all, on the priority list the Sisters have?

the overwhelming majority of the fan base that don’t hang on every little decision made by the Senators, waiting to pounce on their keyboards to whine and complain…like the small group who do it constantly, for whatever reason they can.

I also believe they are selling, and it could be they aren’t saying anyhting and just getting out of dodge with their cheque, but we are being led to believe they are sticking around. So maybe they say nothing, but if the plan is to leave Dorion and his values in charge Ottawa will just continue to circle the poo bowl

Which is a good thing…

They are doing and saying the right things, which is cleaning up the image of the Sens and saying nothing.

If they get all their moneys worth from the Sens, awesome. We have a new majority owner.

There are additions coming to the front office, it’s not going to be Dorion alone thankfully. Until there is a new owner, Dorion is the guy.

The sisters surely send their love to all of us fans except those that spell thier names wrong.

AGM moving up the hockey ladder. Smart money be. Big raise.

So Dorion ousts McGuire and can't hang onto McTavish for this important off season. More intel out the door. More "not so nice things to say about Dorion" out the door. Dorion will have trouble attracting quality people to work for him I have no doubt about that.
Promoting Jim Clark may make some sense into McT's role if they can't find someone for it; not sure how he is with the numbers side.

I am happy for McTavish and wish him well.

Sorry, what not so nice things did he say?

I don't know how he is on the numbers side, but on the pro scouting side he's been awful.

Jim Clark should be fired into the sun, not promoted.

All our pro scouts should have been fired years ago. Worst group in the league bar none.
They would have to be near the bottom for sure...that track record is pretty bad.

Joseph might be a very nice surprise for us. Don't expect him to maintain the crazy numbers but he showed more skill than I expected when allowed to display it. His wheels were a given.

No, but I do wonder if the cheese might be interested in buying the Senators
Ridiculous speculation based on one event. And that one event hardly gives the "cheese" a leg up on any other potential buyer.

Pretty obvious the only right move for the org. would be to fire Dorion along with most of the top guys and start anew. Dorion can't be trusted to rebuild the front office.
The only thing that makes the PM and Mac departures look less strange than they are is that Euge isn't on Toronto radio talking about it. This is normal oddball stuff for us really.

I’d like to see Dorion ascend into a VP type position and the org acquire a new GM who could put his own crew in place.
