The :ducks have come to terms with UFA Brian McGratton on a 2 year deal worth 800,000K per season.

McGratton will be used in a 4th line role and is there so our more talented physical players do not have to answer the bell every night. We are thrilled to have a legit heavyweight in our lineup who has the ability to take down any other player in the league

Ryan Getzlaf Perry
Lupul Jofeson *
Beleskey Marchant Rolston
Moreau Carter McGratton
EX: Blake, Carter

Niedermayer Sbisa
Wiz Eminger
Brookbank Miletra
Festerling

Hiller

* STILL WAITING TO HERE FROM THE AGENT OF SELANNE ABOUT RETIRMENT OR NOT??????

Scratch Horcoff
Move Svensson, Eberle to second line.

Hall - Gagner - Hemsky
Paajarvi - Cogliano - Eberle
Penner - Helm - Brule
Jones - Poultny - Stortini
Horcoff

Other then that, solid looking team,

Right, get two of your most proven forwards, shove them on the 3rd line, and have 3 rookie wingers in your top 6. :badidea:

Edmonton has matched the Darren Helm offer sheet worth 1.75 mil per over 3 seasons.

That should just about do it for Edmonton in free agency, we might be more active in the trade market but for now this will be the 2011-2012 Oilers look like this:

Taylor Hall - Sam Gagner - Ales Hemsky
Dustin Penner - Andrew Cogliano - Gilbert Brule
Magnus Paajarvi - Darren Helm - Jordan Eberle
Ryan Potulny - Shawn Horcoff - Zach Stortini
Ryan Jones

Ladislav Smid - Sheldon Souray
Ryan Whitney - Tom Gilbert
Aaron Johnson - Jeff Petry

Nikolai Khabibulin
Jeff Deslauriers
Devan Dubnyk

Thoughts?

The offense looks solid. I'd get rid of Cogliano. Penner is easily the best player on that line and he could use a good playmaking center, I don't think Cogliano has the potential to make the players around him better. The defense after the 1st pairing is really bad though. Whitney and Gilbert are good players but paired together would be terrible defensively. I'd get rid of one of them too. Goaltending is a big question mark. If Khabibulin comes back and isn't "lights out" then this team would see another bottom 5 finish imo.

I'd have:

Penner - Gagner - Hemsky
Hall - Horcoff - Brule
Svensson - Helm - Eberle
Jones - Potulny - Stortini

The addition of Helm was one of the biggest ones imo. Detroit was crazy to give up on him and I was ready to offer-sheet him, over $3M

I'm done with my team for now.

Peter Mueller - Matt Duchene - Milan Hejduk
Ray Whitney - Paul Stastny - Chris Stewart
Cody McLeod - Ryan O' Reilly - Kevin Porter
Matt Hendricks - Angelo Espisito - David Jones
Ryan Stoa - T.J Hensick

John-Michael Liles - Kyle Quincey
Daniel Girardi - Kyle Cumiskey
Ryan Wilson - Adam Foote
Kevin Shattenkirk

Craig Anderson

Cogliano is showing what he can do when he actually has some decent linemates which is why I decided to re-sign him. The guy is so under appreciated right now.

The New Jersey Devils are proud to anounce that they have signed free agent d-man Dan Hamhuis. The deal is $6.25M per over 8 years with a ntc. Dan will play on our 1st pairing along side Paul Martin.

Kovelchuk and Hamius? What did Martin resign for?

$4.75M per year, not sure how he could be under the cap.

EDIT: He isn't under the cap.

A. Did he sign Evgeny Kuznetsov to an ELC? If so, it's 900k against his cap, which he doesn't have.

B. Without Kuznetsov or a back-up goalie, he has 415k, add Kuznetsov for 900k, and he's over the cap.

Better then San Joes,Vancouver or Chicago?

Brouwer - Toews - Kane < Semin-Koivu-Iginla

Toews and Kane = Iginla/Koivu, but Semin kicks Brouwers ass.

Maclean - Bolland - Hossa < Bourque-Koivu-Ponikarovsky
Ladd - Tikhonov - Skille < Torres-Madden-Moss
Bickell - Dowell - Kopecky < Glencross-Neidermayer-Dawes

Keith - Greene > Bouwmeester-Schultz
Campbell - Hjalmarsson < Regehr-Foster
Connelly - ? =< Pardy-Pelech

Antti Niemi < Nittymaki
Jhonas Enroth = C. Schneider

Yes. I do believe we are better then one of the 3. San Jose upgraded on their team, minus goaltending where they are weak. Canucks got Green, I need to see their updated roster to know.
