Man that was a bad trade for Boston lol.

What is Bostons's cap at now anyways? Vanek's 7 per can not help the cause that much, I imaging before they got rid of Bergeron they were over my several million

I had a shade over $90K of cap space WITH Bergeron and I don't get this misconception that you think it was a bad trade for Boston. Hall wasn't available to me and and Buffalo, a playoff team gave up their leading scorer. Sure the contract isn't great (it's the only reason why an arm-chair gm would trade their teams leading scorer) but if you believe that Vanek could score 35+ goals for Boston while playing alongside Krejci for the duration of the contract then it is far from a bad trade for me. Keep in mind he just turned 26 and would be in his prime playing in Boston.

Philly's 1st 2010 (21st overall)
Ana 3rd 2010

The Ducks are thrilled with this deal. We get an elite prospect in Jacob Josefson who will be our futur 2nd line center. Another good prospect in Nick Palmieri who is greatly overrated on HF. He has an NHL caliber shot and will be a 20 goal scorer. Also we get some good picks and some veteran leadership of Brian Rolston

Our lineup next year

Beleskey - Getzlaf - Perry
Ryan - Josefson - Selanne (pending his retirment)
Rolston - Marchant - Lupel
Sexton - Carter - Brodie
Blake

Visnosky - Sbisa
Wizniski - Eminger
Brookbank - Festerling

Hiller

We are still looking to make some moves, we want to acquire a legit heavy weight instead of Parros
Looking for a top 4 dman
Looking to acquire a 3rd line center

My whole bottom 6 foward group is available

Our prospect pool is one of the best in the league as well

confirmed

the New Jersey Devils are sad to see Brian Rolston go but we felt it was the right thing for both the player and team. do we think we gave up a little much yes but we drafted Evegeny Kuznetsov who we belive will be able to really play well with ilya kovalchuk. we needed to get rid of Rolstons contract. and i know cd that you dont like this trade for your devils but once you see the roster for next year you wont mind ;)

TSN: Confirmed with Link

To :ducks
Ethan Moreau

To :edmonton
George Parros

The ducks would like to annouce they have traded for a veteran leader in Ethan Moreau, in exchange the Ducks send fan and team favorite George Parros to the Oilers. The ducks are sad to see Parros leave but feel we need a more legit heavy in our lineup to protect our relativly small team so with this deal done we intend to try and fine a true heavy for our lineup. Moreau will fill a important roll on our 4th line this season likely with Carter and Brodie and will be a key component to killing penalities and showing our younger players the right way to play

EDIT: Another deal coming out of Ana, word has it a PMD is coming this way

We lose one of our Top-6 scoring forwards, but with the acquisition of Semin we feel our scoring will be greatly improved anyways. With our team needing to replenish prospects, getting 3 great young players for Hagman was a deal we had to go for. Byers is an NHL ready 4th line prospect, and Sauer and Hagelin will come to training camp playing for a spot in the line-up.

The Rangers are upset to lose one of our top prospects in Carl Hagelin and some other supporting prospects, but we are thrilled that we keep building on our secondary scoring, and feel like we have two good lines that can provide solid scoring.

Sens Acquire Galiardi

91925659.jpg

The Ottawa Senators announced today that the club has acquired forward T.J. Galiardi from the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for impending free agent Anton Volchenkov and a 2011 6th round pick.

The news comes after the club decided not to offer Volchenkov a new contract offer, as he was no longer a part of the clubs future plans.

"We'd like to thank Anton for all his years of service here in Ottawa. Anton is a warrior, and we will miss his strong defensive presence on our back end, especially his shot blocking capabilities. Having said that, we acquired a player in T.J., who we feel that will be a player who we believe is very versatile, and he will make a nice addition to our penalty kill unit. We view T.J. as a player who could potentially develop into a top-six forward for our organization."

AVS ACQUIRE THE RIGHTS OF VOLCHENKOV
article_11320_2.jpg

The Colorado Avalanche have acquired the rights to Anton Volchenkov, aswell as a 6th round pick in 2011, they send T.J Galiardi to the Senators.

| Anton Volchenkov got much interest from the Colorado Avalanche, but before signing here in free agency. GM Joe Sakic wanted to acquire Volchenkov just so he can make sure he signs him to a contract. Anton Volchenkov is the full package when it comes to defenseman, he hits very well and is sound defensively.

Olli Jokinen

:rangers Acquire:
Tyler Cuma and Maxim Noreau

The Rangers are stocking up their farm system and by getting rid of Jokinen, who we felt was going to be too pricy, we got some assets and cleared even more cap space.

Top prospects still available for top players.

The Minnesota Wild felt that this move was best for the team, Oli Jokinen will be a great 2nd line center and will only help the team.
