The New York Rangers are very excited to announce a trade with the Nashville Predators. The Rangers send Taylor Pyatt to Nashville in exchange for Eric Nystrom with $500k retained for the length of his contract.
We really liked Eric in Free Agency last year and feel his speed and grit will help push the pace with this team. He is also an excellent PKer which will help us moving forward.
Taylor was not in our future plans.

The Rangers have completed yet another trade tonight. We have sent captain Ryan Callahan to the San Jose Sharks in exchange we receive young speedy winger Matthew Nieto + 1st 14 + 2nd 14. We retain 50% of his salary for this season.
We really wanted to resign Ryan to a longer term deal to remain with the Rangers but it just wasn't working so we felt we had to get something before the bidding started. We wish him well.
We are really trying to add to our speed on the Inge and so far, adding Nieto, Palmieri and Nystrom we feel have helped us moving forward.

The New York Rangers have upgraded their 4th line moving forward with the addition of Gregory Campbell from Boston. We feel Gregory will add another very good PKer and face off man.

Newly added Kyle Quincey is available as a rental for a playoff team looking for a top-4 defensive d-man.
Drew Stafford is also still available, he's been a 30 goal and 50 point guy.
Steve Ott is also available, he's a heart and soul tweener who would be a solid addition to any team
Henrik Tallinder is a solid rental for this playoff run.
And finally, Ryan Miller is the perfect goalie for a long playoff run, his stats have been decent this season, despite being left hung out to dry

Assign Lance Bouma, Chris Breen and Chad Billings to their minor league affiliate. They also call-up Blair Jones and Ben Street to the Flames roster.
Mike Cammalleri: Probably gone soon, going rate is a 1st in 2014 and a mid level prospect. Willing to retain up to 50% of his salary.
Matt Stajan: Looking for a 2nd round pick, willing to retain salary. If you take him at full cap it'll take less.
Lee Stempniak: Looking for a 2nd round pick, but could deal him for an D prospect of equivalent value
