Line Combos: GM/Coaching criticism

Dubas lost his way and let the chuckleheads in local media convince him we needed a bunch of plugs for depth to be "harder to play against." Spending a 1st on Foligno instead of a 2nd for Hall says it all.

But hey, Steve Simmons loved his moves and thought we were a contender!

We didn’t have the cap space to bring in Hall at 4 million.

If Dubas doesn’t have confidence in his plan, he should be fired immediately.

i said this to my buddy. Everyone crying now wanted simmonds/thorton/plug types and he gets them and then they cry about it.

When JT went down Keefe should have considered stacking the top line as in Willy on the top unit. Instead he rides Hyman over 20 min a game having just come off a 2 month knee injury.

wait. You are defending Dubas and your position is that he makes moves based on what he reads?

You aren’t helping the Dubaclub here dude.

I highly disagree.

Matthews and Marner choked flat out. They had multiple opportunities to end it game 5, then in game 6, then did nothing in game 7.

The blame needs to be shouldered entirely by these 2.

He didn't address the room after the game as per Sportsnet.
Probably so pissed he couldn't look at them. He certainly takes a sizable chunk of the blame though. The changes he made to zone starts with Willy and on the PP should have been made in game 1.

No? I said it was a stupid move. Why would I want my GM to make stupid moves?

So this little number right here you posted minutes ago:

Doesn't imply that Dubas listens to the media and make moves based on that?

Because that's kind of exactly what you just said...

Don't backtrack and backpedal now...

Just mean what you say and this time, try to make a little more sense.

He would've been fine coming here, McKenzie, Mirtle and Siegel have all said so. The team stupidly thought we needed another grinder instead of more talent.

I thought I heard that Hall had a "would accept a trade to this team" list of 1 team (Boston).

There was no chance TOR were going to get Hall in the first place.

Anyway Hall would not have made much difference to the bad coaching, inexperience, injuries, lack of internal strength, etc.
