Giroux is different, his role is to QB the offense, you don't want him playing in traffic.

While Voracek is a good passer, he's not in the same league with Giroux when it comes to hockey IQ and anticipating the play, if he's playing on the perimeter, he's wasting one of his best attributes, size and strength and eye to hand coordination.

6 feet closer than Eichel. Giroux's been out that far for years. Some can get away with it.
That's fair. Guys that are primarily playmakers hanging out on outside makes total sense as they need time and space to look for the plays.
Also it's worth pointing out that those graphs include special teams and it would be interesting to see just es data.

I think a Simmonds trade would get more closer to the deadline so the only move right now that would make sense is Hak being replaced or some AHLers promoted. I am expecting a couple moves at least at the deadline.

What do you want him to do?
Make deals left and right with players he hardly knows?
Fire a HC he doesn't know to replace him with an AHL coach he doesn't know?

I agree. He's been here a week. He has to evaluate the situation, the coaching staff, the team. I don't want him to make moves for the sake of it just to make us feel better.

What do we give our guys in terms of bridge deals?
Sanheim - 1.5-2m x 2?
TK - 4.5-5m x 4/5/6?
Provorov - 4.5-5m x 5/6?

I'm honestly not sure what these numbers look like, hope I'm close.

On other guys...
Re-sign Raffl, right? Not sure we have a replacement for him in-house, or that I'd want another guy from a different team to fill in his spot.
Re-sign Laughton...2.5-3.5m x 4/5/6?

2 x $2m sounds about right for Sanheim.

I don't think Provy and TK will be bridged.

No. More for both.

Jacob Chychrun just got 6 years at 4.6m and he's a bum.

Noah Hanifan got 6 years at 4.95m

Brady Skjei got 6 years at 5.25m

Shea Theodore got 7 years at 5.2m
