Toronto cannot take Doughty 's contract they soon will be in cap hell themselvesThat would be even worse. This same core is three coaches deep now.
Frankly, they all need to be scattered to the wind. Not sure anyone will take Kopitar or Brown, but we can still get a pile of assets for Doughty. He’s signed long term now. What’s his NMC situation? Send him to Toronto for Nylander+ so he can be surrounded by other soyboys.
Trade Carter, Kovalchuk, Toffoli, and Muzzin at the deadline.
Embrace the tank.
Some will say the outcome would've been different if JAD and Amadio were in the game.

At this point if Stevens is not fired, the only reason is because AEG is still paying Sutter and they don't want 2 ex-coaches on the payroll. Either we suck, in which case we need a development coach or Stevens is not the right guy to get this team going. I feel bad, because Stevens is a nice guy and he did a lot for the franchise, but this can't continue.
Let’s first get new management and start from scratch.
Wasn’t his guy. Drew’s manForbort literally just stood there and watched Skinner score.
There’s not enough in that bottle to get through these last 4 games.
Other than Detroit with the grind line, how many former cup teams kept this many of their role players?
Its interesting that you bring that up, because AEG also owns the LA Galaxy and they are about to be on their 3rd head coach in 3 years. So if you combine the 2 teams, if they fire Stevens, that would be 4 different head coaches spanning across 2 teams that AEG would be still be paying and not coaching their respective team anymore. It's probably a small percentage of money for AEG, but at the same time that's a lot of dead money. Then you might have to start looking at Dan Beckerman who is putting the wrong people in charge of the soccer/hockey operations.
