Yup, Everyone on the pens board wants him gone. EVERYONE does. There's not even debate on the issue. That should be a good indicator that he might be a part of the problem for that team.

So because the butthurt fans want him gone, THAT'S a good indication he may be a problem? WOW! Since when do the fans know anything CLOSE to what Owners, GM's, coaches or players know? Oh that's right, they only THINK they do. Ask the players on Pitts, I guarantee they won't agree their coach is the biggest problem and the reason they're "only" 6th overall. :shakehead

The Pens have only advanced past the second round once since winning the Cup in 2009, and they proceeded to get swept by the Bruins in the Conference Finals last season. They also just barely got past the Islanders in the first round that year.

They've been hit hard with injuries and Fleury's performance has been so inconsistent over the years. They're not a team with a lot of depth, so when a guy who clicked with Dupuis goes out, they're kind of left scrambling to find someone to fill that role.

Regular season success must be what's keeping Bylsma his job. Because he cannot coach in high pressure playoff situations.

this is without a doubt the truest post we have had in awhile, we are truly blessed to have him and after seeing many greats here and other teams there are few that are in his class as far as all around play, like TG says its a great time to be a kings fan

It's funny to think people here have actually called for his trade every year, including this one.

I bet there are the annual "trade Crosby" grumbles around the pens board also.

You just gotta shake your head I guess.

Just cause someone is a fan doesn't mean they can't make reasonable and accurate observations about the team the follow. Obviously there are fans who are complete morons who are just out there...

Furthermore I'm not saying he's the only problem I said part. But when u have the best two players in the world they can mask your weaknesses until the playoffs start. U need a good coach as well as other things to actually be a successful PO team which the pens aren't. The guys can't make adjustments to save his life (adjustments are HUGE in the post season), he makes very questionable line up decisions, they don't have much of a system at all... The league is diff than it was in 09 when they won it all.

They've had some pretty talented rosters since then and have disappointed year after year( sure they made conference finals last year but that was one ugly series to watch).

Bylsma would be a great assistant coach now IMO. But he ain't gonna lead them to the promise land. If u don't think he's a PART of problem u just haven't followed the pens enough to understand that it's a the truth

I knew I would get ripped for my earlier post

I used to defend Bylsma, but when an entire fan base, even the level-headed ones want him fired, you have to start thinking. But honestly we got the two puts so whatever Shero does will get this reaction from me...

It's just not only Pens fans that want to see Bylsma gone, but some of the sports journalist and local hockey pundits are suggesting for it, too. By the looks of Ray Shero towards the end of the game, it looks like he's thinking about it, or at least that thought may have crossed his mind. He didn't look all too giddy.

Sutter: "You might argue that the best player, other than Kopitar, in the league, is Crosby. So we’ve got to handle him tonight."

Makes me so warm and fuzzy. I want a reporter to ask Suter, if you could play like any current nhl'er who would you choose? See if it bring out the children of the corn in him

Those Pens fans are not that worse.

I opened their GDT.

In the first few posts I read that the only thing keeping it close was that the Kings couldn't generate offense in the 20 mins the refs had them in the box on a bunch of phantoms and the no-goal call was the right call.

Every fan base is as neurotic as we are when it comes to games.

And that's why I dread the Kings bringing Greene back at anything close to what he's already earning.

At least Regehr has regained his form this season. Started slow but he's picked things up and has been a rock on the blueline ever since he got away from Doughty.

Scuderi is a perfect third pairing defenseman, on a defense first team.

Him signing with the pens was a total blown signing by Shero.

Scuderi couldn't handle the minutes at all when our defense dropped like flies.

His performance was atrocious with ice time.

Everyone knew that Scuderi was going to get worked by Bylsma because they had no defensive stability. I'm happy scuderi is gone after how much he slowed down, he have been fine now, but at a real cheap contract. What he was expecting was insanity.

Also, yes Greene and Mitchell, both have to go, both are not good any more. Mitchell is better, but his foot speed is getting worse and worse.

Greene should be gone because he's become so fragile, and useless.

But if there are better replacements during the offseason UFA pool. Then the kings shouldn't consider resigning either of them.

Agreed.

This defense really need some more speed. With Regehr, Mitchell, Muzzin, Greene you have four pretty slow players regarding their first few strides. They are getting beat a lot by almost any forward with decent speed.

Too many times you see other forwards skating behind our net, without a Kings defender near by.
