Now I really know why Flyers fans loathe The Pens.

I like the way our Orange Brotherens play the game - hard and rough. Wait, are we still talkin' 'bout hockey?

Pens and their fans think everything should be gifted to them.

Pretty much the reason I don't spend that much time here anymore. Not all fans, but many fans/posters here on the website (no team is immune) are pretty much a joke, just want to complain about refs/linesman.

Or even better, calling players dirty just because they know how to deliver an effective hit. Boneheads don't know the game, and certainly never heard of the NHL in the 1970s, when there were indeed real dirty players.

Amen.

I remember a game in the late 80s against the Oilers that was out of hand. Ken Baumgartner was skating across the middle and just clocked a guy going the other way Hanson Brothers style.

Some of the stuff that went on in the 80s and especially the 70s make Raffi Torres' antics look like a Rainbow Brite episode.

Pens fans are already regretting them bringing Scuderi back and are shuddering at the thought of three more years of him. I know his play kind of dropped off last season, but seems like he's struggling in his return to the East.

It's not them, it's you. You're expecting everyone to see things from your perspective, and that is NEVER going to happen, whether you're right or wrong. You just need to learn to tolerate the posts that bother you as much as you can, or try having a civil discussion over it.

Besides, you make it sound like you're hardly ever here, when in actuality, you're here lot more than majority of posters.

Bylsma is a legitimately terrible coach though.

?? They're the 6th best team in the league, 10 points behind the top team.

How many more wins does a "better" coach get them? And who would that coach be?

They already have 2 of the top 5 players in the league.

But their problem come playoff time, will once again, be goaltending. Hard to pin that on Bylsma.

I think a lot of us felt he might struggle in that track meet or "shinny" if you prefer, type game they play in the east.

I agree and disagree.

I still love this site and love the discussions on 99% of the topics, but I just can't stand the GDT's anymore, tonight was the first time I've watched a game and not commented in the GDT. Which is unfortunate because it used to be one of the best parts about this board, but when literally half the posts are talking about the refs and how the NHL wants (insert Kings opponent) to win and how every penalty is a dive it's just a waste of time to dig through the crap to find the quality posts discussing the game. The worst part is usually good posters just morph into Hayward and Steigerwald during games. I' think at this point I'd rather discuss after the game when cooler heads have prevailed.

Didn't know I had such a follower. Hey, you can follow me on Twitter, I am RonM11.

Seriously, I haven't been around much lately. My real life has kept me pretty busy. And so have the Kings up until this week...too many home games all at once and it takes a lot out of me just driving over to Staples.

Actually, I don't have to tolerate anything or anybody. That's the beauty of the Internet, I can just ignore a post directed at me (usually). But since you are so in tune with me and have decided to address me publicly (I prefer you use PMs for such a personal discussion), I thought I would reply in kind here. You will notice that I do NOT point out in public your endearing (or not so endearing) qualities as well. I rather not create or prolong bad feelings or attacks on other posters. Not my style.

Wasn't he hurt much of this season already? As a matter of fact, I was kind of surprised to see him back already on the ice.

Anytime a player is injured his game is going to drop off. Ex.: Dustin Brown the first part of this season. I would be willing to give Rob a full healthy season before I say he is past his prime.

Then again, a drop off can be steep. Even after an injury. Just ask our newest full-time journalist, Matt Greene. (I think he is permanently in the dog house if he can't unseat Muzzin.)

Kopitar is an incredible hockey player. Without question one of the alltime greats to ever play for the Kings, as far as overall play probably the best.

this is without a doubt the truest post we have had in awhile, we are truly blessed to have him and after seeing many greats here and other teams there are few that are in his class as far as all around play, like TG says its a great time to be a kings fan

Greene just never recovered from his back injury when they returned from the lockout in 2013. He's been way below average since then. When he got back that season and in the playoffs he struggled, which is understandable, but the struggles continued into this season and he played his way into the pressbox. I don't see how he returns to the Kings unless he takes a massive pay cut.

Sutter: "You might argue that the best player, other than Kopitar, in the league, is Crosby. So we’ve got to handle him tonight."

So true but this part still had me in stitches.

The game was definitely lots nastier but lots of this has to do with access, too. When you have 7 different 3-d/HD camera angles in super slo-mo of every incident from 30 teams around the league, you can microscope anything you want. And that's before you give the average fan the power of social media.

Yeah, Scuds was unfortunately already hurt, but I have no idea if his play correlates with that. Pens have had just a metric crapton of injuries so despite what they think of Bylsma right now I think it's still impressive that they're doing relatively well (obviously a guy like Crosby more than helps but still).

I'm envisioning Kopitar making "pew, pew, pew" sound effects as he skates towards his bench.

I pictured this

I have nothing to base my Bylsma hate on other than his failure with Team USA, but watching the Pens it seems like they win in spite of him, not because of him.

Yup, Everyone on the pens board wants him gone. EVERYONE does. There's not even debate on the issue. That should be a good indicator that he might be a part of the problem for that team.

I think most level headed fans knew he'd do worse on the pens. He was crap in his last season, lucky for him we are a defense first team.

When he signed the pens It was obvious he was gonna get rroasted.

And that's why I dread the Kings bringing Greene back at anything close to what he's already earning.

At least Regehr has regained his form this season. Started slow but he's picked things up and has been a rock on the blueline ever since he got away from Doughty.
