I forgot you're supposed to stand in front of the net untouched. Pens fans didn't have a problem with it when their d-men were spearing Nolan in the junk and smashing people around.

Interesting that Kopitar saw almost all of his time against Crosby in the first, but then the Pens went away from that in the 2nd and 3rd.

Yeah, there were some questionable calls against us, but we definitely deserved most of the minors called on us.

Agreed, but I have the same complaint as last night--no in game consistency. A trip in the first should still be a trip in the third. Don't punish one team for not going down easy. That soft interference call on Clifford right after two/three missed hooks/holds was the moment where I was going "okay, the refs are sending us a message."

It's whatever now and you have to fight through it and move on, which the Kings did and we should do too, but this game and the caps game were really bad. For both teams, honestly.

Kopitar is an incredible hockey player. Without question one of the alltime greats to ever play for the Kings, as far as overall play probably the best.

yup. his overall game gets better and better. such a committed professional. he plays the game the right way. really an amazing player.

I understand, but we can't let the officiating determine how we play. We have to stay focused and play our game regardless of bad officiating.

I'm really happy with how we're playing right now. Even our special team is coming around. However, our lack of discipline is a definite concern. We need to get back to playing disciplined hockey.

I think these Eastern trips are really opening the eyes for Kopi getting very, very strong consideration for the Selke. He deserves it.

I hope so, and luckily he has the rep to help out, but I don't know that he's doing enough offensively to appease the Eastern voters. They can just point at Bergeron in that case. He should be a finalist nonetheless.

Honestly shocked I haven't yet gotten an infraction for comment I made about a "makeup call" in relation to the infamous 2-2 game against Anaheim. Perhaps people are starting to understand jokes? No way.

Pretty much the reason I don't spend that much time here anymore. Not all fans, but many fans/posters here on the website (no team is immune) are pretty much a joke, just want to complain about refs/linesman.

Or even better, calling players dirty just because they know how to deliver an effective hit. Boneheads don't know the game, and certainly never heard of the NHL in the 1970s, when there were indeed real dirty players.

The 1970s Flyers were a dirty team. 99% of the mouthbreathers on this site don't know what the word dirty means. One player makes a questionable hit and opposing fines constantly say "Well, I expect nothing else out of that dirty team. And their fans were cheering! What a classless city!" How quickly one play can escalate is hilarious. It usually goes - that was a dirty play. By a dirty player. On a dirty team. In a dirty city. In a dirty state.
