Agreed. If we do it right, I think some fans will be very surprised next year by February. Not saying we'll be world-beaters, but a lot of fans will be surprised.
We could still do it very wrong, though. And mostly it involves selling the asset EP for peanuts on the dollars.
Not pennies...literal peanuts.
I don't mean to point fingers, but I hope some of you are staying away from investing. Because some of you literally just don't have the stones for it. If you've made some good cash, I ain't talking about you...if you've lost some (like me) maybe rethink your mindset because y'all are a bunch of shrinking violets laying down in the dirt just waiting to be culled.
The risk is the juice, and you don't get it without being squeezed. I'm a business student by nature, not by trade. Not a very good one, but I've learnt the hardest way what mistakes I make and why.
Just don't be me and cut losses by being reactive instead of planning for having losses short-term, which'll most likely always happen. That's just how markets work, I don't have solid proof but a lifetime of thinking I'll do it better than "Stunt Average Joe #4" in my mind and it just don't work.
There are two types of smart thinkers in the world...one who'll think him or herself into box, and one who'll think his or her way out of it. And they can be the same exact person but on a different day with a different feng shui.

As a positive note I appreciate you all and look forward to reading this forum everyday and chatting with all you fine folks.
Agree or disagree, every one of you makes this a special place that makes it worth being a Canucks fan.
That much I'll go to the bank and agree on. I know we don't get along great, but that's to be expected with so many unique personalities. Just know we make our own nations and I'd die for each and every last one of you, same as I would my own family.
Vancouverites know Vancouverites, and it ain't a city, but a state of mind. Strongest, toughest city I've ever been in with very little adversity to speak of.
