By the time it got through, it was just below knee level. Put his stick out it 's a redirection goal, the kind Brown does in his sleep.
yeah i didn't get a good look at it, definitely saw him look down trying to find it well after it was past him though, i assumed he thought it glanced off his hips or something

The Kings have the second worst GF/GA differential at -39. The only team worse than the Kings is the Ducks, who are a -54.

They also remain three points ahead of Ottawa. So, yay?

Thomas Chabot, a 22-year-old defenseman, selected 18th overall in the 2015 draft, has 46 points in his sophomore season.

That's more points than the Kings' leading scorer, Anze Kopitar, who has 44 points.

It's astonishing watching how bad the Kings are when the puck is on their sticks. No offense, no flow, no creativity, no talent. All the fun aspects of hockey (even away from the puck, like hitting) get drained away when tuning into Kings games. This season certainly has been a chore and a good test of one's commitment to witness one of the worst teams in Kings history.

next time the kings win the cup we’ll be saying “where were you in 2019”

we’ll be saying “oh ya? who was our second line left wing? kovalchuk? WRONG! brendan leipsic”

we’re wasting our time, the team’s bad news

On the Kings recent road trip they scored their fair share of goals and the games were pretty entertaining too.

You think they're making progress, then as soon as they get on home ice they're back too being anemic.

They had to ruin the fun by bringing in character leaders like Jeff Carter and Dion Phaneuf. The two human anchors, dragging this sinking ship down along with their fading careers.

They have to play them before the trade deadline in the hopes that someone will take them.

4 game road trip coming up. Carolina has been as good as TB since Jan 1st, Nashville is Nashville, and the Kings are 2-8-2 against Atlantic teams(Florida). Maybe they surprise and go 2-2 on this road trip, but since the TB game is all but a guaranteed blowout, there could be no false progress at all. They just got back home, and already have to go back on the road, which can't be good for a team that doesn't care.

E, they will all still be here.

That's actually a really interesting observation and one that would drive me crazy if I were a season ticket holder.

How is it that teams haven't learned how to defend this yet?? Ovechkin was left wide open to play patty-cake with the d-man before he decided to shoot.

I would guess there are some things you just can't defend within the rules of the game. Real HoF talent is difficult to stop. You could put a guy right in front of Ovechkin, and he never goes more than 2 feet away, but that still leaves a 4 on 3 out there.

There's something to the well at least Ovechkin won't beat us idea, but when he's within realistic striking distance of the most PP goals all time, there are a lot of players and coaches that can't do anything about it.

...but, but Kopitar is great. He leads the Kings in scoring every season. Just look at those numbers on the power play he generates.

As soon as you over commit to Ovechkin there, then use that triangle in the corner to get the shot in the middle......
