Since that winning streak, they've treaded water with concerning trends in their play, like being really bad with the puck in their own zone. Let me state it plainly since we don’t want anyone’s feelings to get hurt.

To state that Carters absence “holds no weight” or that he”doesn’t play defense “ is absurd. His absence is enormous and he absolutely “plays defense”, to say nothing of how his offense keeps the other team from having the puck.
