I get so tired of hearing all you have to do is get to the playoffs and anything can happen.

It's pure baloney.

Dunno how you can say that after 2012.
Kings had a beast of a team and the depth while the Canucks didn't and were the presidents trophy winners. King 17 is absolutely right.Kings were a good team just playing like crap as the 8 seed. You got to have the depth to win in the playoffs 2012 and 2014 teams had that.

How many points were the Kings out of first place in the Pacific Division?

It's not like the Kings squeaked into the playoffs in 2012. They were a good team, which became very good with the addition of Carter.

Yeah the 2012 cup team wasn't a good example that team was a Stanley Cup contender just not sure if they go all the way.

Yeah the 2012 cup team wasn't a good example he was trying to use.

You guys drinking rotten eggnog or something? The Kings were awful all year in 2012. Since clearly you've forgotten:

"In February of 2012, I heard the noise loud and clear. I was captain of the L.A. Kings and I knew the expectations that came with my role. It’s a winning town … and we weren’t winning. The front office had changed coaches in December and we’d hovered around 10th in conference for most of the year — it wasn’t good enough. I knew that. "
