I always have liked Quick, but it might be time to at least start giving more starts to Petersen. Even on the 3rd goal, Quick sort of set himself up to fail on the rebound. If he plays that shot a bit more upright, the rebound might not have been so kicked out to Panarin, who was waiting for it. I'm really surprised that goalie coach Ranford is not having Quick adjust a bit to have more controlled positioning?

Sure, but he still gave him away for nothing.

As for the guys with value, he will get back whatever he thinks is best but it doesn't necessarily mean he thinks it will be fair. Going to need some desperate teams to want to jump on the grenades Blake will be lobbing.

They're at the bottom of the league, and after this 4 game trip, they barely leave California for a month. They just want to get home already. Christmas, New Years. They're contractually obligated to be at the rink, that's it.

That's not how trading works in the NHL under the cap. Look at any team any year. There aren't a lot of trades that get done at this time of year. In terms of cap hits, Blake has already made the biggest trade since the season started, and it was Pearson for Hagelin. It's not about choosing to wait until the deadline. Outside of the rare occasion, you have to wait until the deadline.

This is exactly what I was gonna say, sometimes we see a flurry right before the trade freeze (12/19) but we'll see.

Fantenberg with 4 and no dzone starts, Walker with 2 and only 1 dzone start...Paul LaDue being deployed like Robyn Regehr.

To be fair any one of those guys is screwed outside the ozone probably but I will never understand this organization's handling of LaDue.

Fox has gone beyond the point of being listenable, but he's there for the duration of every game. He can't turn it off, or just rip everything about the team and management, or whatever else it is that we do as fans. If he's trying to sell casual fans on continuing to watch, he also has to sell that to himself. Even though he's probably quite well paid to flap his lips for a few minutes, he's sitting through the crap hockey too. Again, he's become insufferable, but the dude is only human, and it seems he may have taken the Kings fall harder than others.

As for casual fans watching this...oh my. I know we are all masochists but, wow.
 
They should really move Quick and Carter. Both have no real future on this team anymore
