Forbort bears some responsibility, but if you go back and look at that play in slow motion, Kopitar looks right at Forbort like he wants the puck. Then he never gets his stick down in a position to receive a pass. This team doesn't appear to be able to do any of the little things right at this time. In the Kings system the center is going to get the puck on the break out in that situation. Doesn't do much good skating through the middle of your own zone without your stick down on the ice.

Glad you said something if I said it all hell would break loose. But brown as well hes gotta skate to the puck, not away from it, he skates to it hes in position to either get it first or defend larkin

Lol you forget the nature of these threads....it hasn't been that bad of game Kings just cant capitalize, they have had some beauty chances
 
Fire Ranford and bring in a goalie coach that can teach Quick how to poke check.

Larkin brought the puck to within 16 inches of Quick's stick, and what did Quick do? Kept his stick tight against his pads, leaving a clear lane for Larkin to skate thru for an easy goal.

Hey Quick!! - you're giving up the goal anyway, why not make him work for it? - and you may just make the save as well. And per usual, ANY criticism of Quick is off-limits for Fox. He seems to really have a thing for Larkin

And yes, I have played goal before - poke checks work!

No offense but out of everything that went wrong on that play quick is the last person that should be focused on.

If you've played goal before you know it's not smart to.poke check when the guy is in a shooting position right?

Kopitar has been a true leader on the ice though. You can tell from the little effort he has given how much he cares.

I’m going to assume you’re joking about Ranford but just in case you believe that-anyone who thinks this should forever stop talking about goalies. Only one other goalie coach in the world (Mitch Korn) has helped turn as many goalies into solid NHLers (or at least in the short term) in the last decade or so.

But in your decision to poke check your problem in net there is that by the time Larkin is close enough to poke he could immediately shoot it before the stick is even in the way to deflect a quick shot 5hole, and Quicks placement of the paddle didn’t put him in a spot where a poke could’ve gotten out quick enough anyways

Change leadership change the attiude.Make some trades to improve the quality on the ice and see a great improvement.
