God, that run had so many good moments. Tanev series winner, Horvat dismantling the Blues, Lotto line torching teams, bubble Demko, Tyler Minors taking 30 minor penalties, JT Miller pre-game line up read…

It was the most fun I've had watching the team since 2011

Thank you both for reminding me of that Series/Playoff run.

Although it was a rough time for me personally for a while, I fed off & contributed a lot of positive energy here in a weird kind of loop that really helped in my daily life.

The HF community, here & HF Jets in particular, were very influential in my path to regaining my confidence and provided me with a safe place to share my odd sense of humour.

Sure, often we’re just shit talking & not really saying much. However, we’re still connecting, supporting and creating an entertaining experience for each other.

Sports fandom and a Community like this has a therapeutic effect & no one will ever convince me otherwise.


Back to that Series, I remember writing this parody when I first heard about Markstrom being unavailable & Demko would be starting. (Yes, I realize some of it didn’t age well, lol)

One comment on the skate jersey...it's a black sweater. Of course it looks good. Look at the Flames black uni. Or the Leafs. Etc. Black jerseys always look good.

And that's why no team should have black as primary home jerseys unless it makes sense with the team name. Penguins or Golden Knights, ok. Canucks? Nope.
