GDT: GM#24 LA Kings vs Vancouver Canucks @7:00pm 11/27/18

we talk about tanking and all that, but these guys are still competitors and dont like to lose

nice to see some W’s. lets not forget that we have vilardi coming soon and kupari/clague/brickley/jad next year. with wagner, luff, rempal, kempe, and iafallo, we actually have a pretty young, talented team.

I'll believe that when they actually Produce on NHL ice and have a winning season with the youth leading the way. Until then you have prospects trying to play NHL hockey.

Imagine if you took that talent and added Jack Hughes.. droooool….

Good win. I still can't believe this is the same Dustin Brown that struggled those years. His turnaround has been remarkable.

Let's Go Kings!!!

i want more insight into the sutter/brown fued, because good lord, it’s two completely different players

Brown is simply being allowed to play different. He is not wasting energy on the boards, wasting energy hitting everything, also not getting cleaned out in front of the net like 2012-2015.

Seriously go back and watch net battles in 2012-15 it's savage, cross checks to the face, body, ribs, ETC. Now that's called a penatly so players simply try and stick check in front of the net unless you get good body positioning to clean someone out.

Brown is being allowed to play different and the league changed.

Wish we could know what it was that split Sutter and Brown. He never played better than under Sutter in the 2012 playoffs. Even in 2013 he was good until the playoffs. Then it all went to crap for the most part, other than a somewhat productive Brown in the 2014 playoffs. You would think Brown was a Sutter type player, but I guess you never know how people will react to each other.

"they don't like to lose "

31st place. They don't like to lose, they love to.

"Willie D rolls four lines"

*notices 18 minute spread between top and bottom forwards, 16 minute spread between top and bottom d-men*

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. The difference here is Nate Thompson is now a top sixer and your bottom line is Wagner-Rempal-Kovalchuk.

I agree on brown 100 percent, but imo far from a good win. They had no business winning this game but cal stood on his head. They still cant score enough.

He's a f***ing joke. I'd probably take Marc Crawford over him.

Jerome Iginla has the best stories about Sutter.

When he retired he told a super funny one.

Iginla on Sutter " One time me and Conroy had a bad shift in MTL so Sutter benched us for a good few shifts". "Once he let us out again we wanted to prove him wrong darted off goal line and I miss handled the puck it went 200ft and we got scored on again". "We got back the bench and Sutter just stared at us for a good minute then said" "Ohhhh I guess MTL is too scary uhh boys, look at all those banners in the rafters, too scary for you"...

"He benched us for the rest of the period"... "He was a tough coach that made people hate him, but I respected him the most".

But like 7 teams to jump..

And they still only scored only 1 freaking goal in regulation

This is Kings 2012 first half of the year, no goals and hope the goalie can save their can.

There is no way they can go on any kind of a winning streak chipping in 1 or 2 goals per game.

I was about to ask about this, if tonight was a 2012 sort of game, but I've only seen the stats. Looks ripped right out of the history books though.

shout out to marty for that really nice skating to create the ot winner

we don't have many players that would cut that angle backwards like that

Hate to be a Debbie Downer but Young yes, talented that's debatable. I'll believe it when I see it.

Im sure it wears on players after a while but you could see how effective he was at getting the most out of guys. the 2012-2014 Kings run was unlike anything Ive seen in professional sports. Desjardins isnt good at anything, hes a literal Pejorative Slur. did you see what he said the other day??

Desjardins on Kovalchuk: "When you've always been a top two line guy, for sure, all of a sudden somebody puts you on the fourth line, it's going to be hard for him to find his game. So it's not fair to him in some ways either, I'm making him play to his weaknesses...

what in the f*** is that? seriously
