There's a lottery... So there's a good chance we end up not GETTING Hughes. At least we most likely will get Hughes we need it .
Hughes , Vilardi, Clague , Petersen, Kupari is gonna be a star too. JAD, Luff, Brickley all will be on team next year we can trade players for an upgrade somewhere and go with a younger lineup and probably will be better for it honestly.
The Interim Coach should be terminated. Other players are stinking up the place and he benches Kovi. It's disgusting this organization is treating a world class player like Kovalchuk like a dumb **** rookie grinder.
I want everyone in the Kings organization in its entirety executed except Luff and Kovy.
**** it guys, I'm calling Elon for a super rocket. These *****es need to go.
**** WD and **** these players.

It’s not a bad draft to fall a couple spots but Hughes is the game changer. I’d argue that LA needs to not go past second overall, maybe third.Hopefully karma exists, because it's not like they were trying to be the worst team in the league.
I still watch but for me, it's hard to believe that the players have the guts to hold their heads up. Esp . the veteran players. They are individually and collectively a disgrace. Shift after shift of pathetic play, you almost wonder if there is some underlying issue , locker room or otherwise.
then this post game gem:
That? That took a long pause...
The Rangers have been playing good of late and they have a new coach who has benched several of his veteran players.
WD 40 doesn't have the stones to do that, but he should start benching the star players, starting with DD and AK.
The one player who’s disappointed me the most is Kopitar, and it goes beyond his performance on the ice, which has been putrid. I haven’t seen him exhibit any act of leadership or ownership in what is going on.
This supposed winning core and culture and whatever buzz word you want to use doesn’t exist anymore with this Kings team.
Embrace the wallows of suffering.
Yeah, I was probably to hard on Martinez in my post. I just didn't appreciate the "a lot of things" response. Reconsidering, I think he indicated there are problems without divulging any secrets regarding his teammates. If Martinez is a leader as you suggest, I would hope he is talking to WD and maybe to Blake. I think it would be wise to do so on his part. If Martinez is a leader and considered to be so by Blake, then Blake will listen to him and Martinez will emerge as a leader for the rebuild. If Blake doesn't consider Martinez to be a leader, then it will only hasten Marinez' departure, both of which should be ok with Martinez.I have no problem with Alec there because he has the balls to face the media game after game and answer hard questions more than anyone on this roster. Should probably have an A as far as I'm concerned, he does that, plays on the wrong side, in tough situations....he's been a total pro this whole time and got nothing but **** on by this board.
How was Luff in this game aside from the goal? What do you guys think his potential is?
Thanks
There must be a rift in the locker room. How could there not be? This isn’t a team. No one is playing for each other. Crazy.
I’d have to imagine Kovalchuk will draw a lot of interest at the deadline IF he actually wants a Cup. Guy can still play. Pro scouts will clearly see that.
Only issue is his contract, obviously. May shy away a contender. We may need to retain 20%. Ultimately, it’s not the end of the world if we just have to keep him through 20/21. Assuming we get Hughes, we’re likely not seriously contending again until 21/22, anyway.
In a perfect world, we trade Carter, Kovalchuk, Toffoli, and Muzzin. No one is taking on Brown, Kopitar, or Quick.
I’m still 50/50 on trading Doughty. He has such an awful attitude that you may not want him around for a rebuild.
But he’s so skilled he can bring a ton of assets back to LA.
But he has such a massive contract there may not be a lot of teams who can realistically take him on. Toronto is a perfect fit hockey wise, but they already have major cap issues.
I told that dope Mirtle the Leafs would be paying a combined $30 million to Matthews, Marner, and Nylander by 2019. Argued with me on Twitter for like three days about it. Dope.
I get what you’re saying, and normally I’d agree, but would it really be a reward to be thrown out there with Kopitar and Brown at this point?Luff? Reward the kid? Build his confidence?
