This is very true. This is leaning towards historically bad, not just 'oh bad luck rough year.' No alibis there at all , especially since the goaltending has been good and injury fill-ins have outperformed the injured in most cases.

When the entire team has fallen flat, I consider it a bad year all around. You can't pin this on one thing, it a whole lot of everything. It's like this black cloud parked itself over the team in training camp and never left. Too much talent to suck this bad.

Of course I agree. I'm just saying for the optics for management. There's no "we got 90 points and fell just short of the playoffs so we're going to retool." It's "this is the worst team in LA history despite a Stanley Cup payroll."

Fantenberg flubs it and ends up in the net...Forbort was in nowhere land on the next one....and Phaneuf had a sweet assist on the last one.
Ok, choose one to sit out and put Ladue in...heck, take 2 of them out and call up Brickley for 1 game as well. Make a statement.

I’m all for the full on tank but I’m also hoping some of these guys get their asses in gear and play better just so they can become an asset to someone who might trade for them as we get closer to the deadline.

We dont want Blake thinking this rusting hull has a chance to float.. so more losses earlier the better so the rebuild can begin. Nice to see Luff score again. Kovulchuk doesnt deserve any tough love, he should be traded for some picks.. I doubt he would mind at this point. He wants to win now and this team has no chance to win now.

Building a nice lead for that top pick.
Need to secure another first rounder if possible.

At least we most likely will get Hughes we need it .

Hughes , Vilardi, Clague , Petersen, Kupari is gonna be a star too. JAD, Luff, Brickley all will be on team next year we can trade players for an upgrade somewhere and go with a younger lineup and probably will be better for it honestly.

I think this season is the result of 3 years bad decisions at the GM level.. after the pipeline killing trades and the cap ceiling problems, the only path that made sense was to rebuild. Instead they kept selling everyone this core could do it again with tweak for the 4th straight season.

Pretty clear Desjardins is not a fan of Kovalchuk.

This is a rough team. It would be one thing if they started average, then lost a bunch in a row, and gave up. This really did start in pre-season though. They came into the season with zero energy. Even if you're a bad team, you at least start the season with a feeling of hope. They didn't even do that. In 16-17, Colorado at least started 9-9 before finishing the season with 48 points. Even the 16-17 Kings, with Quick out, Budaj in, Kopitar's wrist hurt, and whatever the hell else happened that year, they had 25 points after 22 games. Tied for 11th overall, with a +3 goal differential. I'm not sure I've ever seen a team play this way from day 1 of camp.

Kovy should be playing more . Willie D is delusional cause Kopitar sucks ass and is still Playing lot

Iafallo and Brown have not been the same the last week or so either...I recall after a win about 10 days ago, the crew said "we're going to talk to Dustin Brown next"
and I think they were talking with WD...I was watching the Canada feed...and WD said "no, he's getting tended to" like he had some injury. Brown never came out. He does not seem the
same. Remember the first 4 or so games he came back from his injury? He was awesome every shift. So he's got something going on.

Time to split up that line. Put Kovy back up there. He had 14 pts in first 14 games. It's just not working when you put him with Carter or Kempe. Since Iafallo and
Brown are flat, change them up some. Carter is not creating offense. Why not put Kovy / Kopi / Carter rw and try that. Good Centers and tough to play against,
and punishing defense was the Kings strength and now those are the weaknesses. Phaneuf is ok at punishing some, but that's all he's good for.

Blow this thing up. The Kings need a legit top 6 center....VILARDI! Who was it that said he had a surgery? Bob McKenzie? Any more word on that? Like he had some surgery in the Summer and the Kings kept it hush?

It's disgusting this organization is treating a world class player like Kovalchuk like a dumb f*** rookie grinder.

I want everyone in the Kings organization in its entirety executed except Luff and Kovy.

f*** it guys, I'm calling Elon for a super rocket. These bitches need to go.
