You’re a season ticket holder for the 2025/26 season only. You can bring back one hall of famer in their prime from the past to play on your team for the 2025/26 season only. Who do you choose?

Hasek or Lidstrom would probably be the smart choice given the Panthers goaltending and defense isn't the best at the moment.

However, since old man Jagr and young Barkov already have established chemistry and were one of the best lines in 2015-16, I can only imagine how much better prime Jagr would be with prime Barkov.

So for sentimental reasons I'd go with Jagr.

I'd go with Bure, just 'cause i think it'd be a lot of fun to get that rush all over again. And he was awesome. And he was always able to generate stupid good production even without much of any real high-end offensive support. His ability to counterattack with ludicrous speed would fit well with a Tocchet system i think.

Plus, i'm pretty sure Lindros would just bully Pettersson and it'd be a messy situation all over again.

Lidstrom was a thought, but Canucks are pretty okay on defence with Captain Quinton and Hronek, with more Petterssons added now.

Voted Jagr for Habs.
I don't know that Habs can contend/win a cup next year, even with one of those players, so I thought Jagr would be fun.

I'd also like to see him compete vs McDavid for Ross next year.

I'm surprised Lidstrom isn't running away with this. I figure a lot of teams would be contenders if you add a prime Lidstrom.

Lots of the forward options are fun. They'd be great to watch. But Nik would make the biggest impact for my Maple Leafs, and a lot of other teams as well.

In terms of impact for a cup run, you’re likely right. But the thing is, in hockey, one player no matter who it is, doesn’t move the needle a lot. Show me a superstar on a cup winning team, I’ll show you an amazing team behind them. Players play for 20-25 mins a game and likely have the puck on their stick for 1-2 mins a game, no matter who you are. Gretzky and Lemieux won cups on dynasties. Colorado and Detroit also had amazing teams throughout. It’s just one of those sports where a hockey player doesn’t have the impact like a quarterback or pitcher or an nba player. Too much luck and uncontrollable in hockey.

I am torn between Pronger and Lidstrom. Pronger just plays with that snarl. Imagine having him as our #1 Dman with our core for 1 season.

When driving into Dryden Ontario there is a huge sign welcoming every visitor stating it’s the home of Chris Pronger. Who of these other great players has such an honour?
