Generating goals has been a problem, but they've been really solid defensively.

Possible but unlikely. Whoever wins on NYE wins the pool. And neither team passes the winner of pool B for later seeding. And the loser of the NYE game already likely behind the 2nd team from pool B

Germany played fairly well. Some signs of life from Canada in the third but still far from satisfying. George the obvious highlight.
