This is germany. We always have some talents from year to year but 2 or 4 players cant push up the Level of a whole Team.
German youth has skill problems and Depth problems on international Level.

I don't think things have been heated or anything. It's more like it's a topic of debate where there are 2 sides that you could reasonably be on.

I agree generally I just don't like recieving replies like "you sound upset"...that isn't adding anything to the debate and the only reason anyone on the internet has ever written that phrase is to try and upset someone.

Yeah, you can’t just ease up and quit playing. Just play a clean hard game the rest of the way.

Focus on the way our team is playing and not pick up bad habits or get sloppy.

This is ridiculous, nothing really gets accomplished by running up the score because the German team is completely inferior if anything bad habits can creep in trying to stat pad

I think these guys have been playing hockey for a long time. when they run into a really good team, they will adapt. They didn't get here to just let bad habits creep in and not play well when the going gets tough.

Even though the Canadians are not celebrating that much after each goal, I'm sure this is a score Don Cherry disagrees with and thank god he's not on HNIC to complain about them running up the score.

They're not running up the score, it comes down to GF/GA. They're making sure they finish 1st in the RR. The need to change the rules to +7 max so once teams hit +8 or +9 they can relax a bit.

You can still play defense and as much as chicken parm says it, sending out your first PP up a bakers dozen, is pretty salty.

Yeah and playing defence has it's consequences as I mentioned in my post.

I don't see that as "salty" at all which would imply they are upset they are losing... It's practice for the teams that will actually matter.

I don't want to see any kids get embarrassed either but it shouldn't be up to the Canadian players to "let up". If the IIHF has a real problem with it create some sort of mercy rule at a 10 goal differential. Even that would be silly though imo.
