MAtS getting hurt for the rest of the season as soon as Neuer finally retired is just too on brand for ter Stegen's NT career. I'd probably just roll with Trapp/Baumann/Ortega until MAtS is back, but at this point I'm half expecting one of our young keepers to take over the job for the next decade

Hopefully Chabot takes over a starting job before the WM so it doesn't matter who we have in goal...

He might not even hold onto the starting job for stuttgart all season. A German keeper prospect hasn’t been talked about like Seimen is since Neuer / Leno / ter Stegen were still teenagers

Yeah. Since MAtS should be back for the WM, there’s no need to rush someone.

I was joking about it being just ter Stegen’s luck for him to get hurt the instant the GOAT keeper retired from the NT, only for a kid who was even better to hit the scene.
