You hated Renney. Hated Torts. Hated AV. Hated Quinn. Hate Gallant. Hated Sullivan. Hated Arniel. Hated Ruff.

You'll love the next guy.
I liked Torts, liked AV at least the first couple of years. Liked Quinn year one, but realized he was no good pretty soon.

I've hated Gallant since the beginning, he's the wrong coach for this group and obviously holding the team back.

Would you say the Rangers have a recent history of not developing young talent? Maybe there is a reason for all this hate. Organizational problem that every coach reinforces. Need a top down fix.

The Fanbase has spoken loud and clear that Lafreniere is more important than Gerard Gallant.
From what I’ve read the overwhelming post have an anti-Gallant.

I liked Torts. AV lost me within the first two months he was here. Quinn lost me early as well. I was on board with Gallant, but he makes maddening decisions, and seems unwilling to do anything other than blame the players while trying the same old thing night in and night out. He started losing me in the playoffs. The Laf benching and his recent comments have me just about done with him here.

Gallant has a monumental challenge right now…integrate assets at the top of the roster rather than the bottom of the roster. And do it in a short period of time.

In a way it’s unfortunate because I like the coach and I think his steady hand is a big reason why Rangers have had success over the last two years. Look how far this franchise has come over that time.

That said, this is a results business with an impatient owner. As I have said elsewhere, this playoff season will either be spectacular or a spectacular disaster. If it is the latter, I wouldn’t be surprised if Gallant gets whacked.

They are Thursday and a full roster away from getting all three lines jumbled

GG has done a pretty good job again this year, has a good record and has overseen some important player development.

Complaints about the system or style of hockey NYR play are heard, but it's mostly the front office who has dictated the way the team will play via roster construction. We aren't built for the rigid chip and chase game the the bruins can play with Bertuzzi, Coyle, Marchand, etc.

I have nothing against Gallant. I was glad when we got him and he's done a decent job.

That said he needs somebody to tell him, sternly, that his job is to win hockey games and not do whatever it is that he thinks will make Panarin happy.

Team has a top 3 roster in the league, and is mediocre to bad in every team stat. They have more humiliating losses to bottom feeders this season than the previous 5 seasons combined. How has Gallant done a “good” or even “decent” job?

People’s standards are so low around here. They have a winning record, great throw him a parade.

They've had this "top 3 roster" for all of a week.

Prior to that they've had a revolving door of bottom-6 players on the right wing of the first two lines. Until relatively recently, Halak was awful.

They had the best record in the league in this calendar year until the TDL stuff. We hung with Boston playing two players down until that caught up with us in the third.

Meanwhile Tampa just got stomped 6-0 by the canes. 14 SOG the entire game. Lol

I wanted Turk hired he has done a great job if we are talking strictly W-L . NHL coaches more than any other sport have a shelf life GG is about 3 , taking the team to ECF IMHO bought him all 3. But if this team falters in the POs this year , and have a horrible start to the next year I could see him getting canned during that 3rd season.

IMHO Rangers are pretty good are firing coaches at the right time Renney to Torts to AV to Quinn to GG .

The firing will be for Quenneville. If we are a first round exit then I can see a firing happening over the summer. Second round exit, it is a short leash next season. I think it's a shoe in. Source: my loins.
