Proposal: Georgiev to anyone for a 7th

Gee. Shocking turn of events. All of those anti-ADA posters were so sure that he was the problem.

They could very easily both be.

It's quite pathetic to see him act like as if there's some competition and rivalry for the #1 goalie position between the two of them. Shesterkin would be the better goalie even if you cut off his legs.

Yzerman takes him to Detroit for free.

Why bother offering a 7th.

no we don't release him so you get him for waivers $ while we pay his salary.

A conditional 7th that is all but impossible to happen, you take him and his expiring 3+ at full pop.

Geo will always be Geo.
Good games, bad ones.

But he will play better with consistency from regular playing.
So he is worth it to the right clubs.

What am in looking for here? I'm missing it.
Some fans think the body language is Georgiev unhappy because he's the backup. So he's not excited or Igor or players on the team when they win. I'm on the fence. It's not the first time he's looked like that but that could just be him with fans reading too much into it.

Other than this video, there’s no indication of his conflict with other players so it’s mostly fan made up

A random guy on HFboards doesn't dictate a players value.
That's how false narratives about players begin.

@LeafChief didn't say Gorgiev's current value was wild. He said the one particular valuation was. And I'm sure he was careful to phrase it that way.

Saying "valuation" instead of "value" specifically and explicitly stated that he was referring to a single posters opinion, rather than taking it as a definition of value.

You're actually picking on one of the very few posts on this trade board that didn't do what you're claiming.

He's also right to say that any NYR fan believing Gorgiev's value to be so low is a wild turn. Especially considering the demands semi-recently when Toronto fans were asking about him.

Thank you.

There must be more to it than that clip for “context”. They just won a game in November, is he supposed to put Igor on his shoulders and carry him around the ice?

If I'm buffalo, I'm all over this for a 6th or 7th rounder....

Accepted, as we have other options including Huska and moving Geo cap does it.

Howev, here is a counter:
Hajek + Geo + two 2022 4ths [NYR + WPG]
for
former 3rd round selection Oskari Laaksonen

basically 2 4s for a 3 and you get 2 potentially useful bodies we have no room for.

Also, if you want an expiring Kinkaid too, he's yours as a throw in here or a conditional 7th

we'll see what Huska has...

I thought his value was that of a 2nd ? You really try hard to over sell NYR scrap and this is why no Holloway or Broberg for you .

Sabres have an abundance of prospects at LD, but really lack much at RD save for Laaksonen, Lyckasen and Fitzgerald. RD is an organizational need right now so I can't see them parting with him unless it was in a package for an upgrade at the position.

You are going back, way back.
At one pt it was a late 1st.

Geo has basically remained Geo we all have seen,
hot and cold
one night stonewalls a NHL powerhouse
next night can't cut it for a beer league.

But there IS something worth noting here.
His game has declined directly due to rust = infrequent play.

There is a reasonable basis to believe if he got regular time, his production would improve correspondingly.

Howev, unlike the Krav situation where the kid has NOT had an accurate opportunity to demonstrate his value, Geo has.

Therefore Rangers have to take it on the chin.
First team that takes his cap hit gets him for super cheap.

nb - this is another example of the Rangers blowing it by being greedy.
They waited until Shesty was 111% completely settled in; they could have done what they were doing with him and gone with plan B alternate netminder whether it was Huska or Kinkaid or other.
But no, constant win now costs ability to squeeze assets for max which, cumulatively, could help make a difference.

Thanks for the informative update.

would you consider
Hajek + Geo + two 2022 4ths
for
Sabes 2022 3rd

I'd pay the slightly less extra pick to get the cap space.
You?

But we don't have eichel anymore and he is supposed to be one of the main chips used to get eichel...he has value. Lots of it. We were told so...

I remember being told less than a calendar year ago that it would cost us either Sandin or Robertson to have the HONOUR of trading for Georgiev

oh how the turn tables

Welcome to posting with Rags fans. They make wild projections and demands for players like Chytil, Georgiev, Buchnevich and DeAngelo were all better than anyone else's franchise players just a short time ago.

The latest is now Kravtsov is worth a 9th OA pick when he couldn't crack a roster that contains exactly 4 above average NHL forwards.

Well I'd say BUF could do with somebody who actually plays NHL hockey in return for Jack Eichel.
But if you say so...
