It's been exciting watching Kreider grow into a net-front virtuoso. I still remember when the Rangers drafted him on draft day. I was back in college (feels like ages ago). The draft show featured Kreider and mentioned how he scored a 98 on the speed assessment. Then when the Rangers announced his name, Lou Lamoriello (GM of the Devils at the time) was noticeably annoyed, as you saw him slam his hand on his table. Kreider was Lou's guy and he was planning to take Kreider. Fortunately, we picked right before they did. It makes the Kreider pick even sweeter.

Now he has 41 goals... I never thought I'd see him hit the 40 mark. 30 was long overdue, but he wanted to skip 30 goals altogether.

We sure that is was the intent? Anderson's head got hit with a stick while he was on his back. I think they wanted to play it dead so he wouldn't get smacked around.

You may be right but there's been plenty of plays over the years where the goalie has been in a vulnerable position and the game has gone on, seems a bit weird that it's suddenly become an enforced rule now.
The puck really wasn't close enough to Anderson for long enough for him to get smacked around

Worst decision I’ve seen. Would be hard pressed to find a soccer fan who says differently. Maybe the infamous Maradona hand ball?

Dude you bitch about people complaining but you’re just as bad

Did I say he was not going to be a stud?

Having depth on D to potentially replace our 20 year old rookie defenseman in the playoff chase as needed is not some out of this world idea lmao
Every time somebody has a bad game or 2 we see these posts. I still see this shit about KAM. He will be fine. Sometimes you have to live with the growing pains.

Van Persie kicked the ball into the net after the ref blew his whistle. He claimed he didn’t hear the whistle but the red had none of it. Watch an EPL game, though, and you’ll see this happen at least once a game without repercussions. This leads to Barcelona being mocked with the monicker “UEFAlona.”

Say what you want about this Rangers team but they have balls the size of boulders. Played two awful games against the Wild and Blues and then came back to win 4 out of 5, three in come from behind fashion, and two against the Lightning and Canes on back to back nights. I get on Gallant but he's tapped into something mentally with this team.

Nemeth is notorious for turnovers/plays that keep us pinned

He's a decent PKer. He really does very little well. Can't have d-men who are that slow and that bad at making plays/moving puck.

Good teams lose games, sometimes badly. It's just life during a marathon NHL season. Carolina has lost 4 straight. Are they a good team? Yes, actually very good. It's why I laugh when so many get bent out of shape when the Rangers lose a couple in a row. Gallant is a very good coach and knows how to get the most out of his players. I'm very confident they will play their asses off in the playoffs, win or lose.

Was this 3 in 4 nights for the Canes or did I mishear Sam? Rangers found their legs in period 2, and then they turned to lead by period 3.

Geo really looks like a different goalie with more playing time. This is what, his 3rd game in like a week and a half? And each game he’s looked better and better. When he sits for 2 weeks straight he gives up the lousiest goals. But play him 1-1.5 times a week and he’s a frog kissed by the prince and becomes a starter. Though even when Shesty was out he never had a game like tonight, but looked like an average starter during that period. Hopefully a team is willing to part with a second for him, or else I say to keep him and try to play him once a week to stay on his game and keep Shesty fresh for the playoffs.

Soooo many muffed chances to clear the zone. Bad luck, tired, and not using supporting players. We were squeezing our sticks and cheeks hard under the waves of pressure, Carolina can really bring it. Everything they do in the O zone is with SPEED, so lots of opportunity to turn it if you can make a play, but easier said than done.

Chytil continues to look great. Strong along the boards, he’s become the bull we all thought he could be. A light breeze was knocking him off the puck just a few months ago, what happened??? Love it! Should have had a goal tonight too.

Laf with another assist, shhhh.

Miller with some big hits, he’s really turned up the physicality these last few weeks.

Our trump card PP didn’t look great again against an aggressive PK. Better than yesterday, but lots of trouble moving the puck under pressure, and especially gaining the zone if we lose the face off. With Zbad back in the high slot and Panarin at the left boards we finally got some extended zone time though not our most dangerous look. Probably threw off the PK on where to apply pressure and it worked. I imagine everyone would have slowly shifted to get back into their most dangerous positions if the play continued. PKs are learning to block the Zbad one time pass and also down low passes/deflection attempts to CK. They let Fox shoot for deflections all day (harder to pull off than straight pass deflection attempts) and they know that Strome and Panarin aren’t really threats to rip it 9/10 times…

3 in 4 nights for them too but not a back to back and no travel.
