If you're going to play 2, look into the combat rebalance patch (or whatever it was called, it's something close to that).
2 has a great story, but I found the gameplay to be rough. They had grandiose plans, and I don't think they really met them. That said, it's certainly playable.
3 is getting some absolutely insane reviews, and I picked it up from a greenmangaming sale that may still be running. It sounds like they spent a lot of time fixing the combat, and then made an absolutely massive world to explore.
Thanks, good to know. I'd be playing it on 360, and I'm assuming it's a PC mod and not a patch, so looks like I can't get that.
I have no idea what sort of differences there are from PC to console for 2. Sorry I'm not more helpful.
Assuming it's a bit more rough around the edges, I'll just put it this way: If you like a sprawling story, with tons of MEANINGFUL choices (read: not like Bioware RPGs), the gameplay shouldn't be a deterrent. It's a very good game, just not a great game.
The Witcher 3? I'm probably starting that tonight, but I'm not sure if that's what you're referencing.
Side note: Opeth is ****ing amazing.
Baldur's Gate 2 enhanced edition, only the best rpg ever.
Ghost Reveries from Opeth is in my top-3 records ever, it might even be the best ever.

Fired up NHL 14 last night for kicks and started a new career of Be A GM. My plan was to unload all my non-Parise/Suter vets for young players and picks:
-Traded Koivu and a 1st to Dallas for Seguin and a 2nd.
-Traded Moulson to Columbus for Johansen (picks were included too to balance it out, but nothing too significant)
-Traded Pominville, Ballard and 2 4ths to Montreal for Gallagher, Desharnais and a 1st
-Traded Backstrom to Dallas for Jack Campbell and a 3rd.
-Traded Harding to San Jose for Stalock and a 1st
-Traded Bryzgalov to somebody for a 1st
I love trading logic in this game.
I still have to wait until the TDL to get rid of others like Heatley, Rupp and Cooke, but I'm off to a good start so far. I'm also trying to tank this year to load up on prospects, but I'm still managing to stay over .500. Hopefully having Stalock as my starter at 77 OVR does the trick.

care to elaborate why you don't like it? I personally love it because it takes away the gristle and lets you actually have fun with out letting one person feed a carry on the opposite team and make the game unwinnable.

The game is too casual for some. The removal of gold and items makes it so that there is not much variance in games and the skill cap is lowered. Also you have to pay/grind to get more heroes while all heroes are free on Dota and lol.

I agree. I like it because it isn't too serious compared to other MOBAs. It also has a lot more teamfights than other MOBAs I've usually played. The objectives during the games make the game more fun.

Its designed for people who arent very good at Dota 2 or LoL. It literally takes no skill to succeed in this game.
Beat Megaman 8. The only thing really hard about the Wily stages is the brutal snowboarding section to start Wily stage 1.
Now playing Megaman & Bass as Bass. Took down Astroman with the Bass Buster like a boss. Love his dash and double jump. Plays so much like Zero from X4-6.
I'll probably play the X series after this cause I don't own Megaman 9 or 10. I need to get those.

100% not ture, it's designed so there isn't a snowball mechanic that one person can exploit and it forces you to fight over objectives rather than spending 20 min killing creeps, there is quite a bit of skill involved in playing the game because you have to be map aware all the time.
Honestly untill you actually play the game at a rank above entry level you can't make comments like this, the game takes away the boring and mundaine aspects of lol/dota and replaces them with constant battling.

Seriously if you watch any pro teams play and lets be honest that the pinnacle of where the game design is going to stand, in the way really really good players will play. There is so much strategy in the game, you have to account for what potential talents players will take later on, so sometimes you have to have a weaker talent at level X because your opponent might pick a talent at a later level and you need a counter for that.
The game seems simple, but wall Blizz did was take away the gold grind and last hitting cutting the mundane 20 min laning phase and put in a game where its more action packed. There is plenty of heroes that have high skill floors and skill caps. Hell Abathur is harder to play than ANY LoL champ.

I'd say Dota 2 is slightly ahead of HotS and both are above LoL and I played LoL the most prior to HotS switch. And all are better than Smite....
Seriously Abathur is so much fun to play.
