Battlefield Hardline is really good.

Only complaint at this point is a lack of maps. Shipping with 11 maps is kind of pitiful, tbh. Should be around 13-14.

Anyone here play East Side Hockey Manager? If so, they released their newest hockey sim on steam. It's an early access game so it isn't 100% complete. $15 but discounted to $12 if you own the older game or Football Manager. Only noticed a few bugs while playing (some player contracts not correct, a little laggy simming from day to day) otherwise it feels like a complete game. Favorite part is being able to look up your prospects in Juniors, Europe, AHL, NCAA and see their stats and progress. If you've never played and like very deep simulation games, it's for you. Anything you can think of that a GM does in real life is in this game. I don't know if I am allowed to post links to download updates but the team that kept the older game alive with updates already released a roster, player faces, arenas update.

Bought it last night!

Took a while, but I got the updated rosters, logo packs, and face packs all loaded in. Game looks great!

Spent about 2 hours setting up my roster, lines, and tactics.

Super excited to get into the season!

I saw a bunch of people clamoring for it. It seems interesting but I hate early access stuff. I'd be more inclined to get it if I didn't just purchase Cities Skylines.

I really wish they could combine that in depth GM stuff in an EA NHL game. In NHL15 and such, it's just too time consuming and laggy on the menus to really to put a lot of focus on GM moves.

I usually don't buy early access stuff. And for $11 (since I already have FM), I jumped at the opportunity. It's a very polished game; doesn't really feel like a beta. And they'll be developing it as we go along.

Couldn't pass up having a hockey version of FM!

I'd be interested to see what tactics you guys have the Wild using. (If you're playing with the Wild)

Still tweaking mine, I think.

I was considering buying EHM, but noticed it doesn't work on OSX.

The scouting is insane in this game.

You can assign a scout to permanently scout MIAC games. Might see if I can find a gem playing for St. Olaf or Gustavus

Lapa, aren't there ways to get Windows games on iOS?

I don't like it. Feels like a reskin of post patch BF4. Almost like a DLC pack. Not worth the 70 bucks, probably worth closer to a map pack DLC. And yeah, the 11 maps is pitiful, but this is perpetually lazy EA we're talking about. Too interested in their microtransactions to give a ****.

The feedback you get from the scouts is insane too. One of my scouts had an eye on this massive center that was committed to the Gophers. Snagged him in the 6th round.
Love how you get updates from basically whatever you want from other leagues. Finland won the U20 World Juniors and USA took the World Championships my first year sim.

See I never got BF4 so I think that might be part of the reason I am enjoying this so much.

I really enjoy the cash/buying guns/accessories aspect of it, too. Adds a bit of fun to it.

Damn game developers.

I was going to purchase the Heroes of Might and Magic III HD Remastered version, which is probably the most legendary game ever, but the game doesn't work at all on OSX. Seriously, why is that?

Because Macs aren't, and basically never have been gaming machines? Why would you, as a developer, nearly double your workload for a fraction of the possible return? Gamers don't buy Mac, traditionally or in practice.

In other, shocking news, Bloodborne is real hard. This, and other breaking stories, coming up.

Ha, probably yeah. I love Mac as a computer, but sometimes it just frustrates the hell out of me

This model is 4.5 years old though, so I might get a new one sooner than later.

That's pretty old, yeah.

Look into building a PC. It's much cheaper than a new Mac (at least it is here in the states), you get to decide how nice it is -- and where your focus is. It's also very rewarding!
