Really noticed how over-matched Beckman is physically lately.

Addison with another, assist by Beckman and Shaw. Both PPG... the man knows what to do on the PP. Rossi looked good, too....moves around to shake things up..

I've noticed that his skating looks better. If he hits the gym and keeps developing i can see him being pretty fast, even at the NHL level.

Tried to catch some of the WJC today. Didn't notice much of Peart. Lambos and O'Rourke both had a couple of short, simple outlet passes and O'Rourke had a couple attempted shots. Marat definitely stood out for the Russians - reminds me a bit of Erik Haula or a Cliff Ronning - just a slippery water bug.

I don't think Peart played much. Agree that Lambos and ROR didn't stick out. Novak hopefully doesn't have Covid.

To call out a player like that after a season he's having seems to be a little unnecessary.

If you don't like him so much, trade him for Pageau or whoever Guerin wants.
saying he doesnt like the way he is playing is unnecessary? just because he has had two injuries does not mean he cant be criticized. he is a developing prospect, criticism is needed for development.

To be fair to Guerin, that is Russo's version of what Guerin said, not an actual quote, unless I missed something. All Guerin said, without specifically naming Rossi, was that points are only part of the picture when evaluating a player's readiness to be promoted. He's right...Duhaime's AHL pt total last year, and Soucy's in years past, gave no clue that they were ready for the NHL. Conversely, we were all screaming for Mayhew, and to a lesser extent, Anas, to get NHL time a couple of years ago when they were 1,2 in AHL scoring. When they did come up, they were ineffective, or at least Mayhew was(I can't remember Anas).

I think it's just Russo putting it short and sweet as opposed to the GM speak of GMBG.

The people on here that have been watching the AHL games aren't giving glowing reviews of Rossi's play. It is a pretty large gap between where Rossi and Boldy are in their games.

Boldy has some really Draisaitl-esque qualities to him.

Will be surprised if Boldy isn't brought up by the end of January, assuming he can get in another 5-8 AHL games, and stays healthy. He needs a taste of the NHL to help develop. You can't really plan for that speed and physicality, you have to experience it, then adjust accordingly.

no better time than the winter classic to get your first taste. i know its not happening but it would be a pretty epic first game to play in.
