Does anyone want at some point to join up for some Skype or Teamspeak or Ventrilo or Mumble discussion if we would want to actually talk some random crap? Just asking. Makes easier to do things also during drafts or if we wanna play something together.

Yeah, I'm down for that.

After my abysmal first semester of college, I improved my GPA quite a bit last semester. This semester, I need to get over a 3.5 just to bring my cumulative up to a 3.0. After that, I think I'll be fine but the pressure is really on for this one.

And getting back into doing homework every night mode pretty much blows. Shouldn't take long to get back in the groove, but ugh.

Sidenote, my dodgeball class is coached by the Baseball team's head coach, is full of like 10 college baseball players, and then there is me and three other guys who look like complete amateurs. But hey, we start the semester watching Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story and then get tested on it. So it can't be all that bad.

Someone gave me Gopher football tickets for tonight's game. Not sure I want to sit outside in that weather and watch two terrible teams...

For people who have gone, how's the stadium? Is it worth going just to see it?

It's minimal compared to Target Field or a newer pro stadium. There is only one concourse for both levels. Still, TCF is miles ahead of the Metrodome. You can always use that as a tour of the future for if the Vikings actually build one.

I'd definitely go check it out if you haven't yet, night games are really fun there too.

Was at the fair today and attended the Fletcher interview with Russo. Didn't ask any questions since the one I had was kinda answered in the interview and I knew it was the type of question that would just receive a generic answer.

Chatted with Russo after and he actually gave me his extra ticket to go back to the fair tomorrow. They also handed out bratwurst chapstick. Would've liked to talk to Fletcher but he was with his family and I didn't want to bother him as he left with them immediately after the interview ended. Should've gotten there earlier and chatted with him a bit before the interview.

And I did in fact ask him about HF. He said he knows of it but doesn't go on here because there's always some thread where people rip him.

Haha, that's great. We should create a Russo appreciation thread and link it to him, I'm sure he's too curious not to read it.

A place.
Fantasy Hockey registration opened today on Yahoo. Is it too early to create a fantasy hockey thread? I'm willing to bet we have at least two leagues this year, at least one standard league, and I want to try running a categories league.

I'd be interested in doing fantasy hockey. Probably.

Last year I had three four(I forgot one) teams and that was just way too much. So I'll probably just do one, maybe two.

Just having a drink and still working on my wedding music...less than 36 hours to go.

Also, this is great. My fiancee tells me that my parents are coming over to open our wedding presents the day after. Okay? What time? "Late morning." We have a reservation for brunch though. What time are we eating brunch? "Our reservation is at 10:30". Well how the **** are we supposed to have my parents over in the late morning while going out to brunch at the exact same time?

Honestly, women. Honestly.

Are you sure this was Russo and not say LaPanta? No one rips on him. Russo is beloved in a job where you easily leave yourself open to criticism. That's hard when you have to placate both hardcore fans while explaining everything to people who have barely heardof the Wild

Despite the criticism I sometimes direct at him, I think he's one of the best beat writers in the NHL, but nothing and nobody's perfect, not even Russo. Haven't really seen people here ripping on him.
