Somewhere in Quebec.
Right.

Get to know her. Be friendly but confident. Don't be pushy, because that's the worst thing you can do.

Friendly but confident. Be nice, but have that slight edge. Don't reveal everything about yourself, add a slight aura of mystery around you.

Now go and get her, tiger. Make me proud.
I certainly want to. I'm not sure if I'm staying in the class I have with her, or if she's staying. It's a weird setup, and a weird class. If I see her around more I'm going for her.

I have a hard time adjusting to change, and I'm not sure about this college thing, this is a real challenge.

Yeah, they love the confidence. Just walk up to her and put your arm around her like you already won the battle. Then hand her a bedazzled cell phone and let her know it's hers, because women love shiny things. And also they like to feel like their man is big and tough, so let her know that if she ever fails to answer that phone, you will **** the earth with her casket.

And if you find any other advice on the internet, make sure you follow that too. You can't go wrong with a twerk mob asking her out for eye shots.

Went to the State Fair for the first time in 4 years yesterday. It's great for the food and people-watching, but other than that I'm not a big fan. I would have been okay leaving after an hour or two.

Best advice. It's been over a year now and either the advice you've been given is not working or you are not following it. Perhaps a psychiatrist might be the next step? Btw this confidence talk...you aren't going to be able to fake it convincingly if you don't feel it most of your daily life so don't try and don't worry--some girls like awkwardness.

A ****ing mandatory religion class? Seriously, Finland?

We had whopping three students there, including me. The teacher was clearly hung over, and it took 10 minutes to start the class because he couldn't reasonably explain that the biology students were in the wrong classroom.

Anyway, we spent most of the class talking about communism and personality cults. Yeah.

I'm getting so ****ing annoyed with SM-liiga. Everybody's afraid to fight, and the whole league seems to be a ****ing pissing match between Jokerit and IFK. Now that IFK signed Trevor Gillies, it will only get worse.

Plus, not a single team knows in SM-liiga if fighting is allowed or not. I hope some prospects will go to NA to develop. SM-liiga is a joke at the moment.

Oh well, maybe we'll see a Jarkko Ruutu v Trevor Gillies fight.

Agreed. Although watching some guy piss all over himself while waiting to get more beer was almost as priceless as the two girls walking leaning on one another so they didn't fall over.

Jarkko fighting? Nah, he'll just turtle. I don't think getting Gillies was a smart move at all, but I won't be particularly upset if he goes after Ben-Amor or Jarkko, as long as no innocent players get hurt.

I was starting to feel this way towards the fair until one year when I stumbled upon the llama obstacle course and found myself betting on 8-year-old kids.

Would I be an ass for getting a quick part time job just for like 3-4 months before I go on a long trip overseas?

Thinking something easy to get like food delivery or fast food, just to save up some extra cash before I go, but I feel bad going into these interviews lying about how long I want to work for them.

I think I've got an offer on my vehicle!

Craigslist came through in less than a week, and I could sure use the money.

Personal opinion? As long as you give two weeks notice when you're getting ready to leave, you're doing them far more than they would do for you if they no longer needed you.

I've kind of become an ass when it comes to dealing with employment. Companies have zero reason to treat you like a human being once they think they've gotten everything out of you, so why do them any favors? It's a mutual agreement, but as soon as one party is done with the agreement, it's over.

In an unskilled labor position? No, don't feel too bad. Just give a two week notice before you quit.

A place.
Companies are jerks. The last time I quit a job, it was later in the day after management decided to wring more out of us without giving us any additional help or break time. Walked into the bosses office and gave immediate notice. Clocked out and walked out.

That was a long, long time ago. Still feels good, man.

Crazy thing is I had to talk to my ex today...I can't even remember what it was like with her. I was miserable, I know that much. Funny how things work themselves out. She was the first girl I fell in love with and asked to marry me, said yes, went down that path a while, then it fell apart. Now just a few years later getting married to another girl I fell in love with, asked to marry me, and said yes. But they are just polar opposites in nearly every way. Funny.
