Just like a beautiful guitar/instrument its meant to be used and will get its share of dings. Would love to get some degree of PPF but doing so will go into saving I'd rather keep in reserve atm but will think about it. Dealer has a guy out in sterling, VA who does all the owner of that Koons Silver Spring dealership that they gave me the contact info. If anyone else has some recommendations in the DC metro area let me know.

Getting a Ravelco anti theft device installed so waiting on an installation date. Also window tint coming up. Diode Dynamics led side markers on the way.

That's a beautiful car, but please for the love of Dan Snyder, tell me you're going to keep it inside the garage, yes? :D
Nope no garage..it will have to brave the elements like the other peasant vehicles. If there are some obvious snow events I'll bring it over to my dad's. Technically I could always park it there since I work from home and don't really need a vehicle that much but I hate getting into that mindset of obsessing over keeping something like that perfect.

Funny thing when I parked it the first time back home I was right next to a neighbor vehicle who scraped the right rear wheel well on the Camaro.

I'll obsess about it for you then....

I'm looking at you, large leafy trees!!!!!!

Hahah. Yeah I basically park on the stage left side of my garden style condo entrance as there are no trees in the summer then on stage right where my unit once the leaves go since there is a really annoying tree there. One thing that might have helped is I always had issue with the AC vent where the birds could nest in the exterior slats but when I got the new hvac system in they put some chicken wire stuff on the outside so seems like less bird action.

I just walked by FUEL in dc (near the arena for bill burr) and they seem to have shut down. Sad. Always liked going there before caps games for good pizza.

I might get murdered by my neighbors with just how loud the gt500 is starting up. Went for a drive and remote started it as I was walking up didn't realize someone was walking right behind it and it was so loud they winced in pain angrily, heh.

Also just saw the new 2022 is the last year of the shelby gt500s. If I was trying to buy one this weekend pretty sure I would not have been able to as they would have held out for way higher.

Was chatting with a guy getting his Bronco tinted waiting for mine to get done and he mentioned he lived in FL for about five years and the one hurricane he lived through down there he didn't have power for 10 days and he was like, "I'm out of here..." as far as living there full time.

Living in Florida is definitely one of the worst life decisions I have made.

Tampa Bay might sustain a direct hit. That would be catastrophic, to put it lightly. I’ve arranged to get out of the area tomorrow and ride it out inland in a hotel.

One follow up he waxed poetic about having date night so close to the beach and how it is a singular experience

My company is based in the Tampa area. They asked if I wanted to relocate there and I told them there was no chance I’d ever move to Florida

Rooting for it not to be as bad as it looks it will be. Stay safe!

Newest track has it making landfall between Bradenton and Fort Myers.

That would spare the absolute worst storm surge from going into Tampa Bay, but it would still be significant and still perhaps the worst in about century for us.

There is still a ton of uncertainty in the path so everything is still up in the air.

This'll be my first since moving down here. I'm told 50-70mph gusts and a foot of rain Wednesday through Friday is what's expected here. Haven't had any issues with power outages under normal storm conditions yet. Might go ahead and invest in an auto generator if it ends up being an issue.

Whereabouts are you in Florida?

Here are a couple of pics.

Sweet ride

I have a recent mustang story. Last week I drive on rt 29 to go home in Columbia MD. So theres this stretch where it goes from 2 lanes to 3, where the 3rd lane open up on the left.

I call it the lightning lane. Were all the fast cars hop over and floor it. Flooring it is required.

Mustang in front of me moves into lightning lane and I follow but he only gets it up to 75 mph then drops down to the 60s. So I pull into middle lane and tell my lady 'im gonna race this guy" .. and I normally say this when Im at a red next to an old lady or dump truck. I speed past someone oblivious, and I laugh a lame dad joke laugh.

So I go to floor it by this guy .. and he guns it.

I got my jeep up to 90 plus and he just smokes me.

I was grinning ear to ear.

Haven't really had anyone yet attempt to 'try' me yet...probably because the traffic was a bit dense when I've been out and around though for some reasons there seemed to be a lot of aggressive Altimas with Maryland plates, heh.

Did have someone try and lane guard against me when I needed to get over coming up 95 to the springfield interchange and I was like 'NOPE' and dropped a gear and accelerated into the lane.

I did do what you described one time against a white GTR kinda blew past them and of course he gave chase and blew me away, hah.

Finally upgraded my TV to a Sony Bravia OLED XR. Those bastards at Best Buy talked me into the Sonos surround sound. From just having a 75” 1080P with a wimpy sound bar to this is quite the upgrade. Can’t wait for hockey this year

Congrats man. A few years ago I decided to go for it and went with the LG QLED for the basement with a sound bar and then recently I upgraded our upstairs 1080P to the same LG we got before just this year’s model and it’s so worth it. I was never a believer in TV quality until I got the first one and yeah, it makes a big difference.
