A lot of money just to get dented by kids flinging car doors open in store parking lots.
But yeah, love muscle cars. Just not practical for me atm.
And seems like manufacturers are soon to phase out the gas versions. Which tbh is OK. Have you ever been in a Tesla that's fully accelerating? Those f***ing things scoot.

A Tesla just can’t give you the overly satisfying roar and muscle-y feel…..but damn they are quick!

It’s like a giant mechanical gullet opening and swallowing quickly……makes me laugh when I see guys roar by sometimes….I’m like….”that was $5“…..lolThat roar also comes with 12 MPG in the city
the closest I ever got to anything beefy was my M550 Sport…..damn that thing was throaty as hell and FAST for a big sedan. and still about 17mpg…

I do that but it doesn't matter. Stupid people will still park next to you.
And then there are golf courses...can't hide a car at a busy course lot. Then the guys who've just scraped it around for 120 strokes and 4-5 beers come strolling out....

Not saying the occasional incident can’t happen, but my willingness to park in the back of the lots kept my doors almost spotless for a lot of years.

Really covid was the main reason and the move away from ICE engines. That 2018 Camaro 2SS which was paid of and 29k mile they gave me 38k for. Back when I bought the car at that time after five years the camaros were going for like maybe 24k. Financed the same amount I did for the Camaro when I bought it.
It is on a complete another level on the handling side of things. Great steering wheel. Main knock I give it which really matters little to me was the f150 hybrid loaner had the updated ford UI and it was very good. The one in the shelby feels a bit windows 3.x but gets the job done.
