Ahhh yes the “semi” prospect. Has potential but never feels like they got enough of a chance in the NHL due to bad linemates, shitty teams, or just not enough games/minutes.

First It was Baptiste and Bailey

Then CJ Smith and Sean Malone

Now it’s Murray and Weissbach

I feel like there’s always a few of these types of prospects in the system.
Would you like to shine your wisdom upon all us?

Do the colors mean anything in your example? Just wondering

Just made up by me when I'm doing a certain kind of tracking.

Blue/Red just equals signed or presumably signed Sabres in Roch.

They don't really mean anything for the graphic I posted. I just was grabbing names from a list where they do mean something.

Aww someone’s got a case of the Monday’s

Do Monday's come by the case? How about a pallet?

Kulich has been hitting the scoresheet more frequently. Hows he looking?

A bit better at center but still having issues with the speed at which he is reading and reacting to play in his own zone. But it's gotten a bit better which is pretty cool for an 18-year old in that league. Still a ways off, but he's progressing and certainly leveling up his game.

Square jawline, piercing eyes. He must be slaying those "little cats" in Rochester like nobody's business. Total Chad.

Could even be a piercing jawline. That thing cuts glass.

It feels like after reading and seeing the highlights that all 3 1st rounders are starting to hit the top side of their development curve.

Absolutely amazing if Adams is 3 for 3 on those first round picks.

As frustrating as the last decade has been, and as frustrating as I'm sure it is for some with how patient Adams is with the development, it's an exciting time to be a fan. So much talent on the roster now, and so much more in the pipeline. Even if 75% of them bust, they still have more than they probably have space for.

They've really killed it the past couple of drafts.

Savoie and Lindgren are facing off with one another.
Nadeau with a goal and a PP assist, going +3 against Chicoutimi in a 7-3 win.
Bloom with 2 assists and third star in a 4-0 win over his old Saginaw teammates.
Levi 23 saves on 26 shots in a 3-2 loss against UMASS.

I think you're looking at the wrong game. UMass were 3-2 winners over Northeastern. Levi 23 saves on 26 shots.

Savoie with an assist on the Ice first goal. Geekie just took a boarding call on Drew Krebs (Peyton's little brother).

Second assist, this time on the powerplay.

Poltapov is dressed but hasn't seen the ice for CSKA in their playoff game today. Novikov has under 6 minutes of TOI so far through 2 periods of play.

Neuchev got 2 shifts, 1:04 TOI with no shots, attempted shots, etc...

The KHL is really something else when It comes to ice time for young players.

Truly. Given that and without knowing much more than stats and the few clips, I'm encouraged by Poltapov playing 56 games for a good KHL team and putting up 5-5-10.

Next season he should be a key player for CSKA at 21 and could break out at 22 before his contract is up. Probably some Roch time after that, but should be a helpful ELC to introduce to our more mature core as an intense, dangly, high-motor bottom six piece.

Anyone have a report on Kisakov this year?

Kisakov is still really small and has struggled with that in the AHL. The craftiness is still there and he makes some good plays, but he's got a long way to go physically.

Thanks. It's frustrating that our large group of Russian prospects hasn't been able to participate in international hockey the last few years. Novikov and Kisakov missed the 2022 covid WJC (I know Kisakov wasn't selected for the initial tournament, but might have been for the summer edition. Novikov, Poltapov, and Neuchev missed 2023 (don't think Sardaryan would have been considered). And Komarov stands to miss this year's if nothing changes. I wonder if we'd be a bit more hyped on these guys if we'd seen them succeed against their peers.

I'm still very high on Novikov. I think he's a very underrated prospect outside of the Sabres subforum. He's the kind of Dman the team could use, and there is always a need for Dmen like him so I'm hopeful he becomes a solid option for them in a few years.

From a fan standpoint, seeing players succeed at the U20's is cause for hope. I don't know how many of those guys would've played if there had been U20 participation available for them.

Same. Steady minutes at 18 and 19 for a good KHL team vs. being in the MHL or in the minors in the VHL is a bigger deal than not. He has some steady depth guy qualities and might be more than that when he finally grows into his full strength.
