I think I posted this guy before... Charlottetown's Biakabutuka in the Q:

He's a UDFA and has all the things pro personnel folks love as he's big, skates fast, and has a booming shot. Oh and he's a right handed shot defenseman.

Woah, just saw Constantini’s numbers at UND this season. What the hell happened, did he get pushed down the lineup? Not to mention he was in his age 20 season putting up those numbers. Does that even earn a contract?

I haven't seen much ND this year but it was an effort to find him. Seems more likely that he stays at ND for next year (and the year after) and then it'll be up to him where he signs. Right now, this has been a lost season for him.

Novikov in action with Dynamo Moscow in the MHL playoffs this morning. I forget sometimes that he's only 19 since he's over 90 KHL games already.

Edit 1 - And an assist on his first shift (bounce pass off the boards to the breaking winger, it’s a secondary).

Edit 2 - Gets caught in space and corkscrewed into the ice by a cross crease pass and it's now 1-1. :biglaugh:

Edit 3 - SKA running away with it now, 6-2 in the third. Dynamo, shy of a ridiculous comeback, is about to be down 3-0 in their series and eliminated.

And with that, Novikov's year is now complete:

Looks like the Q will move to a more NCAA enforcement of fighting majors - automatic ejection starting next year.

hope they dont do it in the NHL; with these refs policing is unfortunately necessary

CHL Playoffs upcoming starting Friday -

Nadeau's Olympiques open against Saint John.
Savoie's Ice open against Medicine Hat.
Lindgren's Rebels take on Calgary.

Frolunda defeats Farjestad to advance in their playoff series in the SHL.

Another semi-finalist in the SHL playoffs is going to be Carlsson's club team, Orebro playing Skelleftea :

Of course there is RyJo. Novikov should be signed since his contract is up, dont know if there are obstacles with signing KHL players these days...but his contract is up. I'd like to also add Huglen and Marjala. Huglen may never sniff the NHL but he can develop into a career AHL player, has a well rounded game already and they could use another center in Rochester. Marjala has been so prolific at the J20 level, maybe send him to Cincinnatti year 1 and see how he develops. As for who is out as far as prospects, I don't think Murray comes back to the organization, and Weissbach may not get a RFA tender. He is just kind of superfluous. Maybe there is an AHL trade to be made with him for a young defenseman.
