Of course there is RyJo. Novikov should be signed since his contract is up, dont know if there are obstacles with signing KHL players these days...but his contract is up. I'd like to also add Huglen and Marjala. Huglen may never sniff the NHL but he can develop into a career AHL player, has a well rounded game already and they could use another center in Rochester. Marjala has been so prolific at the J20 level, maybe send him to Cincinnatti year 1 and see how he develops. As for who is out as far as prospects, I don't think Murray comes back to the organization, and Weissbach may not get a RFA tender. He is just kind of superfluous. Maybe there is an AHL trade to be made with him for a young defenseman.

I've vacillated on Marjala, more impressed that he produced 9 points in 15 Liiga games than what he did in the Finn J20 league as a 19-year old. There aren't a lot of guys in their 18 or 19 year old seasons who have ripped up the SM-sarja who translated that into North American success. Used the Elite Prospects tool and sorted by point/game and for guys with at least 10 games in the league since 2011, Marjala is only 37th all time (Ruotsalainen's 18-year old season he was 12th in the same parameters). His J20 numbers are nice, but that league at his age isn't popping out NHLers.

I can see someone taking a flyer on big murr for an opportunity he wouldn't have here.

WMU has lost their entire top line now with Sasson signing with Vancouver and Poulin with the Avs prior to McAllister signing with the Panthers:

Smart of a team without picks and shorter on prospect depth to fish more in the UDFA market.

Nadeau mixes things up and gets an assist from the blue paint. Gatineau tied 1-1 with St. John with 10 minutes left

Ice scored on the opening shift and it's 3-0. I don't think I've seen a shift for Savoie yet due to watching the Sabres game but that was quick.

Savoie scored the third -

Nnnnnneeeewwwmmmmmm as the kids say.

Watching Bedard and his defensive lieutenant Svozil will the Pats to a 2-0 series lead and nearly a 3rd win is doing nothing but grow Bedard's legend. They're heading to OT after Saskatoon managed to tie game 3 late, so time for Bedard OT heroics upcoming.

Komarov +3 in the second period as Quebec goes up 3-1 against Charlottetown.

Nadeau with a quiet night so far - a hooking penalty - while Dean/Gendron/Kidney have four of the Olympiques 5 goals and lead 5-0 on Saint John.

Winnipeg gets underway against Medicine Hat in about 75 minutes with a chance to advance. Savoie is 3rd in dub scoring with 8 points through 3 games.

Charlottetown is done, Quebec sweeps. I'm still very intrigued by Biakabatuka as a UDFA defenseman.

Gatineau will win, that series is now 3-1 in their favor.

Rough start to the Ice game - Oasiz Weisblatt gets interfered with going into the corner, puts him down and looks like he broke his ankle. Ostapchuk gets 5 for crosschecking and the game misconduct.

And while I type this, Savoie scores shorthanded.

Jeep has loaded the OA's back on Savoie's wing with Ostapchuk booted and Benson still injured. Pederson gets the deflection in the crease on a McClennon shot:

Just noticed that Vancouver was ahead of Kamloops - now tied 1-1 - for the first time in their series. It's game 4, they haven't lead until tonight. They've only scored 2 goals in the series so far including tonight's goal. Daaamn.

Watching a bit of Frolunda-Vaxjo and Max Friberg just scored. I remember him from a U20 just filling the net and realized he is now 30 and hasn't been in North America in 7 years.

Also, Joel Lundqvist has announced he is retiring at 41. That's Henrik's twin brother and Dahlin's first captain in pro hockey, someone he's talked about learning a lot from while in the SHL.
