Lakovich, the late '06 who plays for Moose Jaw, scores a snipe to push the Warriors ahead 3-2. He's younger than my youngest. f***, I feel old.

Patrick gave Houser the hook and Beaupit comes in to the Ice net. It's 3-3 after 1 and Savoie had a nice chance late and saved a goal earlier but isn't on the scoresheet.

Nadeau had 1 assist, went 7/10 at the faceoff dot in the Gatineau 7-3 win.

Komarov is heading to OT, tied 3-3 with Rimouski. He's been on the ice for five of the six goals scored tonight, 1 assist and a minus 1 so far.

Lindgren's Rebels are tied at 0-0 with Saskatoon after 1.

Go to the playoff board to do some work and the Warriors throw up 2 more; 5-3 Moose Jaw now.
Lakovich has another. Filing this kid away for the 2025 draft.

Other than Nadeau's goal, Komarov with a busy night, on for the first three goals (2 for Quebec at even strength, 1 where he was on the PK against by Rimouski). That game sits at 3-1.

Ice going to OT with Moose Jaw. Red Deer down 4-2 late to Saskatoon.

Firkus has been an absolute load for the Ice to handle tonight.

Ostapchuk gets the deflection on the PP to win it in OT, ties the series at 2 games each. Edit - score has it as Savoie's right now but they looked like they were mobbing Ostapchuk in the corner. And the scorer now has it properly listed - Ostapchuk from Benson and Zloty. Savoie was the other player in the slot but he didn't tip it in.

Komarov with some bobbles, Nadeau setting up plays that didn’t end up as goals: Quebec beats Gatineau in game 1 of their series.

Quebec goes up 2-1 with under 9 to go in the third. Looks like Nadeau's junior season may be coming to a close tonight.

Marjala was a 2023 reseve expiration...but it seems that by leaving the Q and signing in Finland his rights are now held to 2025. That's good.

Would still like to see Huglen/Johnson signed. Hopefully Novikov soon. That's about it for reserve list guys this year.

Not positive, but I think Marjala's rights are still set to expire this summer. He should be covered by the following section and I don't believe we met the requirement of an offer for extending his rights out to four years.

(ii) If a Player who is drafted as an 18-year-old ceases to play in the Juniors in the second League Year after he has been drafted and the Club has tendered to such Player a Bona Fide Offer pursuant to 8.6(a)(ii), his drafting Club shall have the exclusive right of negotiation for his services until the fourth June 1 following his initial selection in the Entry Draft.

Does Olly come down to Roch for a push considering they play once a month? I'm only entertaining the idea because he's clearly an Amerk next season.

Thanks for this. So since he didn't play D+2 in a CHL we do have his rights the two additional years. Capfriendly changed his expiry status sometime in the past week to 2025.

This is a good thing...there is a plethora of left shot wings in Rochester and we just added another in Neuchev. Good to have more time to make a decision with Marjala who will hopefully stick in Liiga for a full season.

That's good to know, thanks. I guess I'm still not clear on what a "bona fide offer" is and when we would have tendered it to activate the additional two years of exclusive rights upon his exit from the CHL. Maybe @dotcommunism could lend me a hand?

I'm with you though, the more stashed lottery tickets we have, the better. Adams has done a nice job spreading out our embarrassment of pick riches across ETAs and rights timelines.

That's an ELC offer IIRC. They did not do that. In a way it's like how Ruotsalainen was one of their protected players this year because they had extended him a qualifying offer last year but he still went to Switzerland.

Not sure how accurate it is but Capfriendly shows Marjala's rights being held until July 1st of 2025.
