That Adams quote about Johnson and Portillo sure sounds like neither are interested in signing with the Sabres. Jayzus, how to suck the excitement out of the team. 3 times snubbed in one offseason. At least we get compensation if Johnson doesn’t sign.
It seemed to me to indicate he would sign these two in the off-season

Which quote? All I seen as a reference to him still having conversations with them. Like I mentioned in another thread, these are not straightforward negotiations like signing powers to a max contract which essentially was always what it was going to be. There’s nuances about where they’re going to play and how much they’re actually going to make so it’s a bit more involved than just signing a contract that is essentially predetermined. If there’s some other quote that I missing then please share it with us!
"We'll see how that shakes out over the next few days, but they both”
Pauses, collects his thoughts.
“know how we feel about both of them, in a positive way."

If that fills you with confidence I want what you’re smoking.

Well then they are two great trade chips to help improve the team.

Yeah, they're both going back to school from teh sounds of it.

Here’s the link to the presser it’s around the 11 min mark. It’s actually a much longer answer 2 min+ ish than the 2 liner here. It seems a lot more like giving them space after hard losses before pressing the issue than implying they want to go back…

Probably but some here just want the worst possible outcome. They aren't Going to sign and they can’t possibly be traded so they will walk for nothing. It will keep them going, complaining for the next year.

I think it’s a little of both. But the clip I saw did skip the whole 1st minute of that quote. I guess I’ll be a little more patient.

Just think our prospect pool next year will probably look like this and whoever we draft this year. Possible one of the goalies could be playing on the Sabres.
1) Isak Rosen LW/C
2) Ryan Johnson D
3) Prokhor Poltapov RW/LW
4) Devon Levi G
5) Eric Portillo G
6) Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen G
7) Arttu Ruotsalainen C/LW
8) Oskari Laaksonen D
9) Linus Weissbach RW/LW
10) Aleksander Kisakov LW
11) Josh Bloom C/LW

FWIW I just looked up Isak Rosen and it seems like Mora IK's season is over. I guess the next time we would get a chance to see him play will be in the reboot of the WJC in August? Still holding out hope.

He wasn't playing due to a wrist injury right after getting to Mora (second game there IIRC). They were using him as their 2nd line center.

Broken finger I believe

Could be. My Swedish (and more important my Swedish translator) are pretty limited. I liked what I saw in limited views. I think as he adds mass, he's going to surprise people because he's out of sight and out of mind between limited ToI in Leksands and then getting hurt. Like just about every other 2nd pick by the team, it's very rarely about who the player is and all about who the player isn't. Hopefully he's given the room to breath and develop like Samuelsson has - though it did take right up to him making the show for people to start discarding the conversation about what sort of player he is.

With Kisakov in, there's quite a number of forwards that could sign next season. That doesn't include Bloom will be a slide this season.

Rosen should sign, but possibly could get stashed in SHL one more season.
Cederqvist yes.
Huglen yes, have to get these NCAA guys to sign.
Nadeau yes
Kozak yes

Marjala is trending slightly up. Don't see a spot for him in Rochester or an ELC in his future. Maybe an AHL deal.

Looking for info on players who made their NHL debut last season. Can anyone here tell me a bit about these guys like what role they played last season, what type of player they are and what their future outlook could be? Thanks!!

Brandon Biro
Casey Fitzgerald
Ethan Prow

Here's what I feel:

Biro: career AHL'er. Filled in nicely in the the AHL during injuries and became a point a game player for a time. Too injury prone himself.

Fitzgerald: I think he will make the team next year. Most of us want him to be the 7th or 8th defensemen. I guess the 6th spot may be his to win in training camp depending on who the GM acquires during the summer.

Prow: career AHL'er

Biro is high event. He’s not gonna be anything amazing. He’ll be the worst player on a scoring slanted third line. His problem is that he stays too far out. He’s basically the annoying version of the shitty version of (the last two years before this season) Jeff Skinner. As in he stays too much on the perimeter, but isn’t good enough to do that.

Fitzgerald is an 8th D. Or if you have a really strong D corps, the 6th one. Like think a flashier Matt Borowiecki. And I’m sure I spelled that last name wrong.

Prow is a career AHLer. You want him to fill in for at most 3 games in a row. He’d be the guy that if it still existed, he’d play in the IHL. Unfortunately the veteran rule of the AHL makes him either retiring early or going to Germany.

You can have all three for Tanner Jeannot. Yes I’m assuming you’re a Predators fan
