OT: General College Hockey Talk

i certainly dont claim to have any knowledge of goaltenders but portillo looks stiff and out of control a lot
He wasn’t like that earlier in the game. Something seems wrong with him. I don’t know if it’s nerves, or if he took a shot to the head, but he’s been very shaky since about the 10 minute mark.

He did take get him helmet taken off by some skates in a pileup…

Ain’t that the truth. He is rough in his own end.

That's been my beef with him all year. That GWG was his defensive game this year. That said, that can be learned.

I'm going to have so many games to catch up on. Looks like the Big 10 duo are both getting downed today.

It's gonna be a barn-burner final between Denver and The Purple Steers. Both teams are structured, skate like angry hornets, and have balanced teams from front to back.

I give the edge to Mankato: they have been the most poised team throughout the tournament. Denver had a lot of sloppy plays tonight that give me pause to pick them.

It's interesting how the oldest team looked the best of the four.

I'm also curious if Livingstone turns pro after Mankato's season ends. He's got eligibility remaining, but man... a 6'3", rangy RHD who plays well at both ends of the ice can likely have his pick of landing locations.

Just got back from the MN/MN game. Denver smothered MI for the most part, and the gophers couldn't get anything going all night. Huglin was invisible, but I thought Johnson looked very good.

Weird, I thought Huglen looked good in the third as the transition guy to get the puck into the zone for Meyers and Knies. That early rush where the Gophers almost scored started on his stick in the neutral zone.

Yeah, he looked good. He also generated some pressure with the goalie pulled for a few min

I suppose if you are looking for positives. He's young and there is a long road ahead. Don't hate the player, he just didn't differentiate himself.

Minnesota St had them completely stymied and then boom, 2 GA and they're trailing. Crazy turnaround.
