He spent his rookie contract on a car. He’ll be broke before he retires.Great start to his NFL career.
from cbssports.com:
Three days before the start of Vikings training camp, rookie wide receiver Jordan Addison has been cited for speeding and reckless driving, as ESPN reported, after Minnesota State Patrol pulled him over for driving 140 miles per hour in a 55-mph zone.
Addison, 21, drafted No. 23 overall this April, was driving a Lamborghini Urus, a "super sport SUV" , just after 3 a.m. in St. Paul when State Patrol officers engaged him for a traffic stop. Addison's vehicle was going 85 mph above the limit on Interstate 94, per the police report. The incident remains an open investigation, but the rookie was issued a citation for the violation.
"We are aware of last night's traffic incident involving Jordan Addison," the Vikings said later Thursday, "and are gathering additional information."
Addison did not take the field for the Vikings' organized team activities or minicamp practices out of precaution for an undisclosed injury, but he partook in rookie minicamp and is expected to have a sizable role opposite star receiver Justin Jefferson. With veteran Adam Thielen gone, the first-round USC product has been widely projected as Minnesota's new No. 2 receiver.
He and the rest of the Vikings' rookies are scheduled to report to training camp on Sunday.

If that's a legit concern, can see why the AD accepted the plea deal. It's been around 20 months since this accident occurred.Ruggs sentenced to 3 to 10 years for drunk driving crash.
from cbssports.com:
District Attorney Steven B. Wolfson released a statement after the May hearing at which Ruggs pleaded guilty. "I recognize this outcome is not sufficient to punish Ruggs for the loss the Tintor family has suffered," the statement said, "but there was a legitimate concern that a court would have suppressed the result of the blood draw. We would have lost the felony DUI charge. We couldn't take that chance. This resolution sends Ruggs to prison for up to 10 years on a felony DUI conviction and brings closure to the Tintor family."

Ruggs sentenced to 3 to 10 years for drunk driving crash.
from cbssports.com:
After former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs III pleaded guilty in May in a Clark County District Court to a felony charge of DUI resulting in death and a misdemeanor count of vehicular manslaughter, he was sentenced on Wednesday to 3 to 10 years in prison.
Ruggs was accused of driving up to 156 miles per hour down residential streets, with a blood-alcohol content of 0.16 percent (twice the legal limit), at the time of a crash that resulted in the deaths of a 23-year-old woman, Tina Tintor, and her dog in November 2021. He was initially charged with DUI, reckless driving, and possession of a firearm while under the influence, and was released by the Raiders in the immediate wake of the charges.
At sentencing, Ruggs read a statement that he said was for the family and parents of Tintor. "I sincerely apologize for my actions the morning of Nov. 2, 2021," he read, according to a local CBS News station."My actions are not a true reflection of me."
Ruggs' attorney said of his client that Ruggs is a "kind, shy, extremely bright, and thoughtful young man." He added, "Make no mistake he takes full responsibility for this."

Despicable plea deal
And the "He takes full responsibility" is a f***ing load of nonsense.
He was driving 156 MPH while drunk and killed this woman
Its great to be rich and famous though. Get best attorneys to guarantee you are not held accountable for actions and plenty of fluff pieces from media to try and potray how you are actually as much a victim as the actual victim
Resolutions to Kamara and Riggs cases show the power of wealth/fame
Despicable plea deal
You need a warrant if the person refuses. Obviously something was done incorrectly by police or the ADA. If so, you lose the blood, which could very possibly lose you the DUI charges which accentuates the case. If you don’t have the blood, then the only way to keep the DUI is to try and explain observation to the jury. You can’t really say he was disoriented or unable to stand after a high speed crash like that so it’s a bunch of circumstantial stuff which gets risky. Why would they suppress the blood draw?

What was he looking at without the DUI?Ruggs deserves execution.
With that said, if they thought they might lose the case due to the blood draw, then I get it. It’s absolutely awful, but I get it. Imagine if this animal walks out free and clear. That poor girl and her dog. The family will never recover.
