Jeudy will be released on bond.

from tmz.com:

The alleged victim in Jerry Jeudy's criminal tampering arrest wants the case thrown out -- telling a judge she's never felt threatened by the NFL star and he never put a finger on her.

The Denver Broncos wide receiver and the mother of his 1-month-old child appeared in court in Colorado on Friday ... where she pleaded with the judge to dismiss the 23-year-old's domestic violence criminal tampering case.

As we previously reported, the alleged incident went down at around 10:15 AM on Thursday ... when Jeudy was accused of illegally keeping property from the mother of his child, according to the Arapahoe County sheriff.

The ex-Alabama star was arrested and spent the night in jail ... before appearing in court Friday morning.

The judge imposed a mandatory protection order on Jeudy ... but the alleged victim did NOT request a no-contact order.

Jeudy is set to be released on personal recognizance.

The NFLer's lawyer, Harvey Steinberg, told reporters after the court appearance his client should not have been arrested or incarcerated.

"Bad things happen to good people and that's what I think this case is," Steinberg said.

Jeudy's next court date is set for May 31.

from cbssports.com:

A bench warrant issued Friday for Kentucky running back Chris Rodriguez was a result of a scheduling error, according to a university statement. The warrant, issued by a Fayette County Court judge, came after Rodriguez failed to appear for his arraignment on multiple traffic charges, including driving under the influence.

"We have confirmed the issue was a scheduling mistake in Chris' attorney's office," read a statement from UK. "They are diligently working to get it corrected. The student-athlete was not required to attend."

A $200 fine was also included in the warrant.

Rodriguez was arrested early Sunday morning for careless driving and operating a motor vehicle under the influence, according to state records. Rodriguez, who was stopped by University of Kentucky police, is also facing a charge of driving with a broken tail light. The citation notes that Rodriguez admitted to drinking "one or two shots of alcohol" before driving. He was arrested without a breathalyzer test, as his car failed to stay in its designated lane and delayed in pulling over.

As the SEC's leading returning rusher, Rodriguez accounted for 1,379 yards rushing and nine touchdowns in a breakout junior season. He earned First-Team All-SEC honors from the Associated Press, as the Wildcats went 10-3 behind Rodriguez's nine 100-yard performances.

Former NFL veteran Orson Charles has been charged with aggravated assault after a Friday night incident in the Ybor City neighborhood of Tampa, Florida, according to WTSP. The longtime fullback and tight end, last seen with the Broncos in 2019, approached two off-duty police officers in a dispute over a parking spot, per the Tampa Police Department, and threatened to shoot the officers with a gun he was carrying before being detained early Saturday.

Charles was attempting to park at the intersection of 19th Street and 8th Avenue not long before midnight Friday when Tampa Police say another car beat him to the spot, per WTSP. Charles, 31, allegedly proceeded to approach the driver's side door of the other car, occupied by a pair of off-duty officers, and retrieved a gun from under his shirt, threatening to shoot them. The officers allegedly showed their badges to Charles, who continued to threaten them before the officers drove away.

Tampa Police say an off-duty Hillsborough County deputy monitored Charles after the incident once he was alerted of the dispute, following the former NFL veteran until he was taken into custody. Charles has since been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and carrying a concealed firearm, per WTSP, both felony offenses in Florida.
