As a fan of tabletop role-playing games, I can relate to your appreciation of the "retroclones" of D&D. It's fantastic to see the classics being updated and re-released in a way that honors the original system while also improving on the presentation. The gorgeous books of Old School Essentials really stand out in this respect.I'm a big fan of the "retroclones" of D&D that have come out over the past decade (or two). Labyrinth Lord/OSRIC etc. But currently, Old School Essentials is the big one...a really nicely-presented and organized re-presentation of the classic B/X system. The books are just gorgeous.
Also, I backed the MOTHERSHIP kickstarter. Looking forward to getting that box of goodies some time this year.
