The US is not going to win this tournament...we're playing like shiat in the most important zone ... the DEFENSIVE zone!

beginning to lose there cool as well

No I would not be here making fun of Canada. The only reason I am even on line following the game is because ESPN2 is currently in the 2nd period
I never meant you........just some other U.S fans...........let's not kid ourselves right? Anyway...whats happening with the game? you can't see it either where you are at?

The boards sure are lively in the arena.. there have been several shots that have taken hard bounces right back in front of the net.. Belarus needs to be careful on those..

Montoya needs to simplify his puck handling.. he's almost been burned a couple of times now.

The boards better be lively,North Dakota spent $100 million renovating that arena

Is Robbie Schremp getting any shifts at all ???

Not a lot. Not a lot at all. I can count the times I have seen him on the ice with one hand...

The USA can't comeback from this. They may tie it, but the emotional damage done to them tonight if they lose will finish them off. They have two possibilities. They will pull themselves back from the brink next game against the Czech's, or they will give up on themselves and finish off the tournament embarassed. I'm leaning towards the second one now. It seems that they don't care about this game at all, and thought it would be a cake walk. I hope for the first scenario for an exciting Canada-USA game for the gold, but right now it doesn't look so good.

Not many.. Kessel's and Stafford's lines have been getting the most shifts.. I wouldn't be surprised to see Schremp on this PP though.. can't ignore the skill when you need goals bad.

How many times has he raved in this thread about Kostitsyn? Maybe I'm overreacting over this, but I think we get the message that Kostitsyn is having a nice game. We habs fans tend to get overexcited with our prospects and considering the vast number of fans, it can get annoying for everyone. But maybe it's just me... :dunno:

Habs fans are overzealous. That's a given. But it isn't such a crime if someone wants to boast about a favorite prospect when he has a good night. Especially since this is the Belarus-USA game thread. I can see how it may annoy some USA fans, but it doesn't warrent the kind of reaction he's getting.

Ok at this point in the ESPN2delayed feed, it is 4-1 Belarus- I have not looked at the pages after the declaration that it was 3-1 Belarus, but Im going to make a prediction based on how Montoya has looked after that 4th goal.
I think from now on Montoya will be back to his old Best Goalie in the Tournament self. He looks much more calm.

It could also be a blessing in disguise for them......they have gotta be pissed off and you will see a better game from them tommorow because of it.I agree with you that i don't think a repeat is in the cards for them this year,i've seen them enough now to conclude the relative weaknesses of the team are too much to bring home gold but they can still salvage this tourney by turning this negative to positive.....pride baby.....they gotta let it come out know

Well Montoya just saved the day but he was having issues handling the puck before that.. but that last series may boost him back up.. awesome stuff.

I thought Schremp was centering Kessel's line. Have they switched them up again?

No ESPN decided that college basketball Wisconsin-Alabama was more important. The WJC game is on a one hour tape delay

The USA-Czech game will NOT be on ESPN2 tomorrow night.College basketball and college football are on both ESPN channels tomorrow

That is what I was thinking .. You would think that with Bouque out and down that it would be different ..

The analysts on RDS said that the weak teams each year doesn't learn anything and shouldn't be a part of the tournament. Right.

Further proofs that RDS analysts are dumb as oysters.

While I'm a Canadian boy and proud of it, I wouldn't want to see a Canada-Belarus final, I mean come on. :lol I'd rather see a really physical, high scoring Canada-USA/Russia game, I don't want to see these upstart NHL countries in the finals. I hope it is a blessing in disguise just to make the tourny more interesting. They could get a bronze medal in this tournament, but I think a gold or silver is out of reach for these boys seeing how they've played this year.
