5-3 Belarus.. all goalies have looked horrid.. 13 minutesish left in the 3rd.

How many times has he raved in this thread about Kostitsyn? Maybe I'm overreacting over this, but I think we get the message that Kostitsyn is having a nice game. We habs fans tend to get overexcited with our prospects and considering the vast number of fans, it can get annoying for everyone. But maybe it's just me...

Pierre McGuire is really tearing into the US goaltending.

It's seems like he is enjoying their misfortune, saying that Montoya could end up having to live down that 100ft goal for the next calendar year.

It may be true, but it is still a little harsh.

American goaltending and defense is suspect

Belarus has played very hard and forechecked well

Kostitsyn has been the best player on the ice with 1G 2A.

Update: None of the players on the ice are as good as Sidney Crosby.

The US has the worst defense I've seen in the tournament. They're less physical than the Swiss, and they have worse positioning.

This is a coaching problem. I think the US was depending way too much on home-ice advantage coming into this tournament.

No!!!Sweden has the worst defence and a great goalie in lindberg but he is to lonely
Look at the game against finland The swedes were leading 4-1 after 2 periods and then they just kollapsed and lost 4-5 and there was no blame on lindberg he was totally alone

Yeah and that's what you should do......the smack is inevitable(actually not as bad as i thought it would be) It'd be the same if the roles were reversed and Canada was taking it's lumps from Belarus.....trust me.

The US dominated the start of the 3rd but its evened out over the last few minutes

US was dominating early on in the period, but Belarus was able to hold them off for the most part.

Now it's back to being pretty even, teams trading chances.

No I would not be here making fun of Canada.The only reason I am even on line following the game is because ESPN2 is currently in the 2nd period

The boards sure are lively in the arena.. there have been several shots that have taken hard bounces right back in front of the net.. Belarus needs to be careful on those..

Montoya needs to simplify his puck handling.. he's almost been burned a couple of times now.
